More Quote of the Day Honorable Mention, Part 254

Special "Fight Like a Girl" Edition
*

Sean Curnyn at The Cinch Review:
"If Sarah Palin can continue delivering speeches like the one today in Madison, Wisconsin — and I see no reason why she can’t — then the GOP nomination is hers for the taking... With lines demanding that the GOP in Congress to learn to 'fight like a girl,' and characterizing the President’s economic policy as 'Obama’s bullet train to bankruptcy,' she continues to show an ability to define the scene with more style and concision than any other player... And when she says that the 2012 fight 'starts here in Madison,' and closes with 'Mister President, game on!' she sure sounds like she is declaring."
Katrina Trinko at NRO's The Corner:
"Palin Urges GOP to ‘Fight Like a Girl’... In a speech in Madison, Wis. today Sarah Palin talked like a candidate... She also made it clear that she didn’t care what the GOP establishment thought of her."
Dan Riehl at Riehl World View:
"It's ironic to watch so many so called establishment Republicans who seem to want to be leader of the free world dance their way around the more serious political battles of our time... Whether it's talking about death panels, or blood libel, to now showing up in Madison - that's not former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin... Wherever the current battle is, that's very often where you can find Palin. One of the first requirements for leadership is to show up out front. No one will ever accuse Palin of not doing that... When you lead, people tend to follow and support you, even if not at first. Until now, I've never ventured a guess as to whether, or not Palin is running in 2012. Tonight, for the first time, I think I can. It's going to be one hell of a fight, so why would Sarah Palin not show up?"
Rick Moore at HolyCoast.com:
"Palin Wows Them in Wisconsin... The union thugs, college professors and drum circle participants can't quite figure out what hit them when Sarah Palin spoke to the Tea Party rally there today."
Basil at Patriot Place:
"I had the pleasure of watching Sarah Palin give a rousing speech at the Madison, WI Tea Party rally today (16 April 2011)... I’m sure the dweebs in the media will rip her apart, but for my money it was a barn burner of a speech in which she really took Obama to the wood shed. She also said something very interesting at the end... something to the effect that the 2012 elections 'start here and now in Madison, WI. Mr President, Game On!' Now she didn’t actually say she was running, but it was as close as one could get to that without actually saying it!"
Nice Deb:
"Today, Sarah Palin braved a snowstorm in Madison to give what some are saying is her greatest speech since her 2008 convention speech to thousands of tea partiers. She put on her mama grizzly fangs and tore into union thugs, wimpy establishment Republicans and most of all, the president. Holy cow, she was on fire."
Adrienne Ross at Motivation Truth:
"I have heard the Governor speak many times--both in person and on television and the internet. However, I have never heard her as fired up as she was today. She was bold, courageous, and clear on the direction America is going and the need to right the ship. She directed the last part of her speech to President Obama himself, and she held back absolutely nothing. Granted, it may have been unofficial, but everything in me tells me that she made her 2012 intentions loud and clear at the end of her speech."
BigFurHat at iOwnTheWorld.com:
"Sarah Palin, affirming her union connections, gave one of the best speeches I’ve heard her give today at a Tea Party event in Madison, WI."
John Hinderaker at Power Line:
"Across the country today, Tea Party groups held rallies to commemorate Tax Day. In Madison, Wisconsin, Andrew Breitbart and Sarah Palin addressed the crowd. Unions turned out counter-protesters who tried to drown out the speakers with noisemakers... That sums up the left pretty well: liberals have more or less given up on winning arguments. They just want to shut the rest of us up."
William Jacobson at Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion:
"I look for the good in people. This guy was not flipping the bird to Palin, he was just practicing for this year's 'Public Employee Union Dance-a-thon'"
Bronwyn's Harbor at Clintonista blog No Quarter:
"I am not a fan of Sarah Palin — or, for that matter, of the Tea Party — but I am furious that the demonstrators tried to shout her down at an event for members and friends of the Tea Party. God knows we’ve all had to listen to the points of view of the demonstrators for the past months. Let others be heard too! (But that’s not how lefties work: They want what they want when they want it and they are not interested in what anyone else thinks. Ever.)"
Jennifer at Cubachi:
"Brava, Governor!"
John Nolte at Big Journalism:
"This just out from the Associated Press, another breathtaking but predictable piece of sleight-of-hand dishonesty directed at Sarah Palin’s credibility: '[Palin] said she was proud Wisconsin conservatives prevailed against union *hatred and violence* — even though none of the protests in Madison ever became physically violent and only one person was arrested Saturday, for disorderly conduct, police said.' The AP can 'even though' all they want and all day long and pretend that Palin was narrowly referring to 'protests in Madison.' But we all know that in order to question her credibility the AP intentionally narrowed down her statement to the definition they needed it to be. Those of us paying attention, however, know exactly what the Governor was talking about. And I suspect the AP did, as well. Unfortunately for the liberal media, Palin’s speech was such an unqualified grand slam, this is the kind of game they’re forced to play."
Jedediah Bila at The Daily Caller:
"Sarah Palin rocks Madison... She was feisty. She was bold. And she was gutsy. At a Tea Party rally in Madison, Wis., on Saturday, Sarah Palin pulled no punches..."
Don Surber at the Charleston Daily Mail:
"Wisconsin fit Palin to a Tea...

Palin Madison 360

...That looks presidential."

  1. Yesterday's rally, and speech in Madison convince me more than ever that Palin can, and will overcome all her opposition for the nomination. Bachmann drew just 350 people in SC, Pawlenty drew only 300 in Boston and Des Moines, Trump drew a crowd of some hundreds in Boca Ratan, and the combined efforts of Pawlenty, Santorum, Cain and Roemer drew only 500 in Concord NH. In other words Palin drew about 10 times as many to one rally as the others combined. That's Palin Power on display. There is no one, absolutely no one, who can compete with her.

The Anyone But Palin crowd must be pulling their hair out by the handfulls. It's back to the drawing board for them.
