More Quote of the Day Honorable Mentions, Part 2

Flopping Aces:
Q: Why Does the Left Hate Glenn Beck?

A: For the same reason they hate Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and Sarah Palin… They are all effective at getting out the truth to the widest audience!
Gail Collins:
"Sarah Palin is an heir to the women's movement. She has not been constrained by gender. At no point in her life has she thought, 'I can't do that because I'm a woman.'"
Bonnie Goldstein:
"I do hate to abandon the notion of a Hillary Clinton/Sarah Palin matchup in some future political girl team dream playoff game."
Emil Vicale:
"I'll tell you this, [Michelle Bachmann]'s no Sarah Palin."
Hannah Miller:
"'Sarah Palin' was number one for both Google News and Google Images –- no Obama on either list."
Alex Knepper:
"Mike Huckabee has actually gone out on a limb to endorse Marco Rubio against establishment favorite. Sarah Palin has thrown her weight behind Rick Perry in his battle against Kay Bailey Hutchison. But Mitt Romney is the establishment, and doesn’t want to risk offending its sensibilities."
Prairie Pundit:
"Liberals hate any opposition and they try to demonize and marginalize anyone they deem a threat to their control freak agenda. That is why they hate Beck and Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin. While they hate Beck and Limbaugh, Palin really drives them ballistic, because they fear she might run and win."
Carolyn Plocher:
"So, while just a few months ago they happily kicked Palin out of the running with a steel-toed boot, 'The View' waved a tearful goodbye to Hillary – an 'ambitious' lady that at least left when 'people still love her.'"
Ed Driscoll:
"In 2008, Keith Olbermann had fantasies of first Hillary Clinton, and then Sarah Palin assuming room temperature when their poll numbers got too close to The One."
Doctor Zero:
"How does Sarah Palin improve her standing among moderates? By talking to them. A true moderate can hardly define themselves through stubborn closed-mindedness. Palin’s book sales suggest people are interested in hearing what she has to say... Everything I’ve seen of Palin since the end of the 2008 campaign is remarkably consistent with the performance that brought the house down at the Republican National Convention. That speech was intoxicating, not poisonous."
Camille Paglia:
"Yes, the snobbery about Palin's five colleges is especially distasteful, given the Democratic party's supposed allegiance to populism. Judging by the increasingly limited cultural and factual knowledge of graduates of elite schools whom one encounters working in the media, blue-chip sheepskins aren't worth the parchment they're printed on these days."
Edward Olshaker:
"Although virtually no one in the media highlighted this crime's significance as attempted murder, it's no accident that anti-Palin vitriol-typified by former Air America radio-show host/actress Janeane Garofalo's comment that Palin 'represents that lesser segment of the country' -- is reminiscent of white supremacists' characterizations of African-Americans as loathsome inferior beings. Such hate speech indeed breeds violence, as Pelosi and Friedman belatedly warn us. The Wasilla church arson of 2008 was a terrorist act as predictable, and as evil in intent, as the Birmingham church bombing of 1963."
Rush Limbaugh:
"This is not about the National Football League. It’s not about the St. Louis Rams. That’s just a subset. This is the latest in a long line of attempts by the left to discredit any of us who believe what we believe. Sarah Palin, the list is as long as I wanted to make it."
Glenn Beck:
"David Letterman, who eviscerated President Bush nightly, and Bush deserved it for years, not to mention what he did to Sarah Palin and her children during and after the campaign, practically made out with the guy when Obama stopped by the Ed Sullivan Studio. I thought he was going to take him upstairs to the bedroom above the stage for awhile."
Jesse Cornish:
"You did it over two months ago, with the 'Splitsville' fabrication, and you will try to do so again. I stand here to tell you Griffin that you mislead your readers. You lie to the world. You have no 'iceberg' that will ever undercut Sarah Palin and bring her down, because there is none."

  1. Mike says:

The most important parts of "Going Roque" will not have to do with Gov Palin's early years or anything that she has done up until now. It will also not have to do with the stories surrounding her VP bid in 2008.

The most important part of Going Roque will have to do with Gov Palin's political philosphy which she will lay out and her vision for America. For it is in these pages that America will decide whether Gov Palin will be a serious candidate of POTUS in 2012.
