Officials say no tickets will be sold at the door of the Nov. 6 event at Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis.The event takes place just 11 days prior to the release date for the former Alaska governor's memoir Going Rogue.
General admission tickets are $30 with a limit of four per order.
The Wisconsin RTL Blog insists that it's for real, but we have heard that before. So far, nothing about the event is posted on Sarah Palin's Facebook Notes page, and there's been no press release posted on the website of the Washington Speakers Bureau, former Governor Palin's exclusive agent for her speaking engagements.
Also unconfirmed is this report from the Springfield (Missouri) News-Leader:
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will speak on patriotism, citizenship and civic engagement at College of the Ozarks at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Keeter Gymnasium, a college news release said.College of the Ozarks is a private, Christian liberal-arts college in the Ozarks between Branson and Hollister, Missouri at Point Lookout.
The prelude to the Leonard B. and Edith Gittinger Community Convocation featuring Palin will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The convocation is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.
Those seeking tickets may call 690-2240. Tickets are limited, and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Stay tuned...
Update: Jill Stanek talked to Wisconsin Right to Life president Barb Lyons, who disclosed this:
"We have been trying to get her for a year. We just found out Friday that we had her and had to wait until yesterday to release the info... We are incredibly excited!"- JP
There's also a report she speaking in Missouri in December. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a Palin blitz of the lower 48, and the unveiling of her new political group. If it is, look for some major fireworks.
ReplyDeleteAlready got it, Greg, but thanks!

Seems like a good way to get more people to show up or buy tickets, just say Sarah Palin will be there.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, and that has been a problem in the past, as event promoters have tried to use Sarah's popularity for their own benefit or to help their various causes.
ReplyDeleteWe hoped that by signing with the Wasington Speakers Bureau to represent her for speaking engagements, the confusion surrounding reported Sarah Palin events would be resolved.
Some sort of rapid response team to confirm or deny Palin appearances is needed.
