Allen West marches to primary victory in FL-22 (Updated)

Allen West is out to a huge early lead in the GOP primary for the U.S. House in Florida's 22nd District. Of 18,958 total votes cast so far, 14,520 (76.59 percent) have gone to West, while his primary opponent David Brady had received only 4,438 (23.41 percent). Col. West has the endorsement of Sarah Palin.

Update: Allen West has declared victory and AP calls it for the retired Army colonel.
