From Thomas Lifson the American Thinker Blog:
The Left will never admit it, but Sarah Palin has genuine literary gifts. As poets and advertising copywriters know, finding exactly the right word that will encapsulate a concept and stick it in the mind requires a certain genius. Yet Sarah, the author of the phrase "death panels", consistently comes up with original phrasing that memorably pinpoints ideas. As evidence, Lifson points to "the somewhat grotesque video" produced by abortion facilitators Emily's List. That's the one that has anyone with a thimble full of intellectual honesty laughing their butts off. ladies and gentlemen of the jury, that evidence cannot be refudiated.
The latest example comes from her Twitter post yesterday:Who hijacked term:"feminist"?A cackle of rads who want 2 crucify other women w/whom they disagree on a singular issue; it's ironic (& passé)"A cackle of rads" is sheer genius.
But there's a much larger issue here. Have you noticed how liberals always seize upon the trivial and the gossip column stuff in their more recent attacks on Gov. Palin? We're pretty sure there's a reason for it. The left can't battle her on the issues, so they go into full deflection mode, always shifting the focus from what's on the minds of the great majority of voters away to all manner of things everyday Americans couldn't care about less.
The number one issue across the country is the economy, more specifically jobs. The left's messiah-president promised that if he could only get his "stimulus" passed, unemployment would not rise above 8 percent. It's been stuck on 9.5 percent for months and is likely to go higher by election day come November. the left doesn't want to have a conversation about the lack of jobs, so they get themselves and their trained media dogs all abuzz over terms Gov. Palin uses on Twitter. Polls show that a majority of Americans believe that Obama and the Democrats are moving the nation toward socialism, and they don't like it. So the left and the lamestream media get all wee-wee'd up over Sarah Palin showing her support for Dr. Laura. Or over some lame-o Sheryl Crow song. Nothing is too trivial for the libs to use as a deflection shield.
But the campaign of defection isn't working. The left can't deflect the failure of their agenda as pushed on the country by Obama, Pelosi and Reid. They had better enjoy their ridiculous cackling about Gov. Palin, because when the sun rises on the first Tuesday in November, there will be hell to pay.
