More Quote of the Day Honorable Mention, Part 100

*
"Who’s Your Mama Grizzly?" Edition.

Jere Hester at NBC Connecticut:
"In 1980, the course of national politics may have turned on one brilliantly framed question: Are you better off than you were four years ago? Now, with the crucial midterm elections less than three months away, we’re being asked, in essence, another question – one that could resonate through the 2012 presidential campaign: Who’s your Mama Grizzly? ... But the EMILY’S List video, perhaps more than anything, shows the enduring power, presence and influence of Palin nearly two years after John McCain tapped her to become the GOP’s first woman vice presidential candidate. Like her hero, Reagan, Palin is framing the debate."
MariaS at Dodo Can Spell:
"Mama Grizzlies here, mama grizzles there, mama grizzlies everywhere. What is poor Prez Obama to do?"
Seeing Red AZ:
"The far left EMILY’s List, which recruits, trains and supports pro-abortion women for public office, has funded a video fixating on Gov. Sarah Palin. In it they take her on regarding pro-life issues, health care, unemployment benefits, education and same-sex marriage. Truth clearly takes a back seat with this hard-core agendized group. But the overriding question is: Would they even bother if they weren’t concerned about her extensive appeal? The group calls itself 'progressive' since the term liberal is more than even they can stomach... Still, liberals focusing on non-candidate Palin as the target of their vitriol in the ad... indicates the deep level of concern evidenced by Democrats who see the erosion of support for their candidates, political party and President Obama. It’s called deflection, and it’s not working."
Van Helsing at Moonbattery:
"Every time a moonbat denounces Saracuda, her stock rises a little higher."
Ed Morrissey at Hot Air:
"Palin endorsed three more Republicans for Congress. Jackie Walorski faces a tough fight against Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly, who has chosen to play 'Name That Party' with his campaign ads and run against Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. Palin also endorsed Vicki Hartzler in MO-04, which is a very interesting race indeed. The strongly Republican district — R+14 according to the Cook Report — has long been held by Ike Skelton, the powerful Democrat who chairs the House Armed Services Committee. The GOP should win this district, but Skelton will prove a difficult man to unseat in any circumstance. Palin’s endorsement will draw more attention to this race. However, the one endorsement that Hot Air readers might cheer most is Renee Ellmers, the woman challenging Bob 'Who Are You' Etheridge in NC-02..."
Mark Byron:
"A few pundits are making some hay out of Sarah Palin having a bit of a losing streak in endorsements. If she won them all, she'd be accused of being a front-runner and only picking [sure] winners."
Nick Ottens at Atlantic Sentinel:
"Commentators on the left may be exasperated whenever they hear Tea Partiers and the likes of Sarah Palin reiterate Thomas Jefferson who once professed that the country shouldn’t have to do without a revolution every twenty years or so... Modern day conservatives may take a rather different attitude, but calls to 'revolution' are familiar to them perhaps even more so than appeals to 'family values' and American exceptionalism. They hardly demand that blood be shed in celebration of Jefferson’s 'tree of liberty,' but roughly every twenty years, the opposition has so squandered the ideals of the original revolution that Republicans think it high time for another... In our own era, with the Democrats in full control of the Federal Government and set on an agenda more interventionist than it has been in decades, it may well be time for Republicans to start cheering revolutionary rhetoric again, if that’s what it takes to swing voters to the right."
Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit:
"No wonder the elitists hate her… Just like they hate Middle America."
Diogenese at In Search Of An Honest Politician:
"In 2006 Sheryl [Crow], who was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery...got the best treatment... via the US medical system, [and] is enjoying a cancer-free, rich life. Fast forward to how much flak, heat or rage the Statists had at Palin for speaking of her famous 'Death Panels' and how this week, the FDA is pricing out Avastin, a cancer drug that can cost up to $80,000 per year for advanced breast cancer... Yes, Sheryl, you can slam Sarah Palin... but in the end, rationing has begun, thanks to the Liberals you support..."
Tammy Bruce via Twitter:
"Let me see if I understand: Sheryl Crow’s new anthem is ‘Say What You Want,’ where she tells Palin to shut up?"
JammieWearingFool:
"'Reviews for the album have been mixed – but Crow has not minced words in giving her own review of the political scene. New song Say What You Want takes aim at Sarah Palin...' Crow, of course, became a national laughingstock over her weird obsession with toilet paper. Being a punchline apparently hasn't curbed her nuttiness."
Jim Treacher at The DC Trawler:
"Sheryl Crow believes in free speech (for people she likes)..."
Mojo at Mojo Pundit:
"For the past three decades, I have been struck by liberals'... attempts to paint all conservatives as stupid. While reading... the Huffington Post, we come upon the same tired old schtick where numerous liberals rant about the stupidity of their latest target, rants that are often rife with grammatical and spelling errors and using the worst schoolyard language. I still have people telling me how stupid Ronald Reagan was... I disagree with Ms. Palin on many things, but we can do that without attacking someone's intelligence, can't we?"
Rick Moore at HolyCoast.com:
"Jerry Brown [had] a fundraiser at the home of the lady on the left... And I mean waaaaaaaaayyyy on the left. That's Jodie Evans as she was attempting to disrupt Sarah Palin's Republican National Convention speech in 2008."
Jerry Wilson at Goldfish and Clowns:
"There will always be a fringe, living in its own private madhouse, that will never accept truth regardless of how it is presented. There are three primary motivations at work in such individuals. The first part of this unholiest of trinities is blinding pride, an inability to accept anything other than ones own perception as truth no matter how flawed are the conclusions drawn from same. The second descends from this, that being a mixture of validation and ego gratification by convincing others to join in the crusade. Finally, there is the third element, which is also a result of the first: if you work it right, personal madness pays. A prime example of this is Andrew Sullivan, who routinely rants how Trig Palin cannot possibly be Todd and Sarah Palin’s son despite overwhelming evidence stating this is the case. For this he draws a tidy sum from the Atlantic magazine’s online version, for its part being more than happy to facilitate Sullivan’s babble as long as it brings site visits translating into advertising revenue."
