"But — trying to impress PDS-maddened leftists with how smart you are about contemporary art is a losing battle. They won’t hear a word you say about how you used to go every weekend to the local showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and sing along and throw rice at the screen; they don’t understand you when you talk about your collection of obscure punk rock vinyl, or how you were in a garage band when you were in college, or how your best friend from high school is gay and went with you to Club Warsaw on Miami Beach to see Boy George perform. All they have to hear is 'I’m conservative' or even 'I don’t think Sarah Palin bites the heads off live kittens' and they’ve shoved you into a bell jar labeled 'member of the Southern Baptist Church who thinks gays should be imprisoned, women should all be pregnant and barefoot, only listens to country music, Republican.' You can make all the noise you want in that bell jar, they won’t hear you."- JP
