More Quote of the Day Honorable Mention, Part 90

*
Special "Democrat Death Wish" Edition...

Shawn Millerick at Now Hampshire:
"There’s only one way the tragic airplane crash in Alaska that ended the life of former-U.S. Senator Ted Stevens could have been better, according to New Hampshire Democratic activist and State Rep. candidate Keith Halloran: If Sarah Palin had been on it. In a Facebook post, Halloran, who describes himself as 'an active local citizen and supporter of NH Governor John Lynch,' said of the plane crash, 'Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board.' ... Halloran isn’t alone among New Hampshire Democratic leaders in wishing ill toward the controversial former Republican Vice Presidential nominee. Natch Greyes, a staffer for Democratic Rep. and Senate hopeful Paul Hodes tweeted the following on July 21st: 'I have to wonder if & or when @sarahpalinusa will learn the meaning of our state motto: live free or die.'"
Matt Suermann at RedHampshire.com:
"This is simply disgusting... Wishing death upon anyone is never acceptable."
JakeG at The Busted Nut:
"Have liberals really become this comfortable with demonizing the opposition that they wish they were dead? Do they see Palin is such a threat to their agenda that they wish she was dead? How does one grow comfortable with this idea? People in the liberal party will certainly giggle and snicker at his remarks, but at what cost to their dignity? You can call someone names all day and sling mud with the best... but when you begin finding comfort in wishing someone was dead, liberal or conservative, you have lost your way and have no business representing the voice of any electorate."
Mary Katharine Ham at The Weekly Standard Blog:
"I look forward to the national media asking every New Hampshire Democrat and every leading national Democrat to denounce this sort of thing immediately."
Daisy at Chicks on the Right:
"Hey Everyone! Look At The COMPASSIONATE Left Wishing That Sarah Palin Was Killed In A Plane Crash... Ah yes…hope and change and butterflies and puppy breath. Well, that is unless you’re a conservative woman. In that case, the compassionate left would like you dead. You know… from a plane crash. Stay classy, Dems."
fireandreamitchell:
"As usual, most lame stream media sites ignored this story."
DaTechguy:
"A defeat for Sarah Palin is not enough for one Dem Candidate... apparently Keith David Halloran wants her dead. Now in fairness I’m sure he was just voicing what many others on the left are smart enough not to say aloud but still it’s an embarrassment to the party and the NH GOP is jumping all over it..."
Lonely Conservative:
"Oh those tolerant loving Democrats – spreading the wealth around while wishing for the death of Republicans."
Gatordoug at The Daley Gator:
"The obligatory Democrat wishes Sarah Palin dead post... What an absolute piece of trash... What a despicable thing to say, and who wants to bet the media gives this clown a pass? However, imagine if the parties were reversed? Think the media would be so forgiving?"
Real Debate at Real Debate Wisconsin:
"Yes, you left wingers are all about rainbows, lemon drops and death wishes..."
Mark Whittington at Associated Content:
"One has to wonder, once again, what is it about the hockey mom from Wasilla, Alaska that will turn liberal Democrats into raving lunatics... This sort of thing is one reason why Sarah Palin, a private citizen, must travel with a security detail... Oddly, the death wishes seem to be all on one side of the political spectrum. Conservatives may express ire at President Obama and his policies. But invariably righties, especially the religious ones, pray daily for the life and safety of the President, part out of common humanity..."
The blogprof:
"What the heck are they drinking in NH? (Apparently the kool-aid and by the boat load)"
PT at PapaTodd.com:
"Peace and love and joy and happiness and good-will towards all is what every Democrat wants for all of us. Oh, and the death of Sarah Palin, too... What is most important to remember though is it’s the Tea Party that is mean-spirited."
Don Surber at the Charleston Daily Mail:
"In other news, the Democrats are finally have a name for their jackass mascot: Keith Halloran."
The Independent Rage:
"That the loony American far-left that controls the democrat party would express a Death Wish for Sarah Palin comes as absolutely no surprise. If you have even an elementary understanding of how those people think and the hateful way in which they view this country and anyone that disagrees with them, then Halloran's statement -- while vile, putrid and absolutely slimeballesque -- comes as no real surprise or shock."
