Palin tomato attack FAIL (Update)

You can't make this stuff up, folks. According to FOX9 News in the Twin Cities, some Palin-hatin' moron threw two tomatos at Sarah Palin but missed her by ten feet. Unfortunately for Jeremy Paul Olson (a.k.a. Jeremiah Paul Wobbe), however, one of his mushy missles hit a police officer in the face instead:

A man was arrested for throwing tomatoes at Sarah Palin during her book signing on Monday at the Mall of America.

Jeremy Olson, 33, allegedly threw two tomatoes from the second balcony, however did not come close to hitting Palin.

Bloomington Police report that Bloomington Commander Mark Stehlik was struck in the face with one of the tomatoes and may face charges for assaulting a police officer. Olson was booked at the Bloomington jail. He was arrested for suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct.

First Update: Doh! WCCO is reporting that the idiot of interest hit not one, but TWO police officers with them messy 'maters of his. Bad career move there, Sparky.

Second Update: Leftists are already cheering their veggie-flinging fellow "intellectual" as a hero here. Violence against women is apparently no big deal to the lunatic Left, just as long as the woman isn't one of theirs. And they wonder why only 20 percent of Americans admit to being liberals...

Third Update: An AP video report on the Attack of the Killer Tomato Tosser is up Freedom's Lighthouse. After looking at Tomato Boy's mug shot, we were sure that we had seen that face before. No, it wasn't on an SEIU recruiting poster. The perp's pic looks just like that little photo next to the word "thug" in the dictionary.

Fourth Update: CSM book editor Marjorie Kehe finds the incident "disturbing" and worries about Gov. Palin's safety.

Fifth Update: CBS News of the Lamestream Media expresses disappointment that Owens/Wobbe throws like a girl and didn't thow with better accuracy. CBS knows all about accuracy, being the vehicle for Dan Rather's "fake, but accurate" documents.

  1. Josh - I guess the huge success of "Going Rogue" and Sarah's rising poll numbers are driving the lefties to an even more frenzied state of craziness. Imagine what it is going to be like three years from now!!

One other point, everyone has noted the number one status of "Going Rogue" on all the rating services, USA Today, NY Times, etc.. However, today Nielsen Bookscan listed the audio version of "Going Rogue" as the number one audio book in the country for the week ending Nov. 29. I don't think any other bloggers or media have picked up on this.
