Aloha, Palins (Updated)

*
Sarah Palin and the family are enjoying a relaxing vacation in Hawaii after a book tour that took her to 33 cities in 25 states in less than a month. After signing tens of thousands of copies of her bestseller Going Rogue. her arm can probably use the rest.

Shallow "journalists" are trying making a big deal out of the fact that the former governor was photographed in the Aloha State wearing an old McCain for President visor which had the Arizona Senator's name blacked out. Always quick to jump to conclusions, the lib writers are claiming that Palin herself covered her former running mate's name with a marking pen, but none of them can report having actually witnessed the act of obliteration, of course. Anyone could have done it. Our guess would be that one of the kids got creative.

The media rats also have their undies in a knot over the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidates T-shirt, which read "If you don't love America," on the front, and "then why don't you get the hell out," on the back. The  T-shirt was a gift from country singer John Rich. We wonder if the America-haters could find happiness in the workers' paradise of Cuba or maybe the Islamic Republic of Iran, where women who get too uppity are routinely stoned to death. Strange, the Palin-bashing feminists don't seem to be much outraged over the treatment of their sisters in Islamofascist states. Hey, why take up the cause of women who are treated as property when they can bash Sarah Palin? Those poor women are halfway around the world -- out of sight, out of mind.

Update: We were wrong. Sarah Palin did black out McCain's name on the visor, but according to Politico's Mike Allen, Gov. Palin says it was just an (unsuccessful) attempt to blend in with other vacationers in America's tropical paradise and to keep the paparazzi away.

Other gleanings from the Politico piece:
"Palin has signed more than 59,000 books — an average of 1,750 per stop — and has traveled more than 19,000 miles by plane and bus. She has spent 115 hours — or 4.8 days — signing books in 33 cities in 25 states. Her stops have included five military bases."

  1. AS I look at the photo, I am reminded of Sarah's reply to divorce rumors, "Have you seen Todd?" There is one healthy, happy family. I hope the rest of the trip is un"photographed".
