The Anti-Palin Leakers Strike Back

You can tell that the leakers who were working to kneecap Sarah Palin from inside McCain's campaign are feeling the heat of being exposed to the sunlight. They are fighting back, and they are using campgaign resources and a media which shares their agenda to do it.

Either Schmidt, Wallace or one of their cronies has supplied CBS with some internal memos to further trash Gov. Palin.

The result is this CBS hit piece.

The AIP issue was in fact a constant leftist talking point for at least a month during the campaign, and it is still being used against her.

Gov. Palin was right. Team McCain should have put the matter to bed. If Schmidt and his lieutenants were so overwhelmed that they couldn't deal with oppo, the exchange of memos says more about their incompetence than it does about Gov. Palin being uncooperative.

These creeps are literally trying to destroy Sarah Palin, and their media allies are only too willing to cooperate.

I suspect Schmidt and Wallace teamed up on this one. She's the one with all the connections at CBS. He could have easily passed on the memos to her, which she in turn could have handed over to her CBS pals.

  1. This email exchange actually damages Schmidt even more. Seems to me she was merely requesting a press release re: AIP and he reacted as if she was demanding a full fledged press conference. His second response to her was terribly condescending and I'm flabbergasted that he would treat the VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE that way.
Honestly, these recent rehashings of the campaign further bloster the theory that McCain ran one of the worst pres. campaigns in modern history. What they did to Palin should put them on a permanent blacklist.

  2. Thanks for this. I linked back. I feel lots better now that Schmidt has admitted that he attempted to fire the man he suspected of leaking the name of the anti-Palin leaker. I mean, it's an admission of something so low...it's just plain (to "normal" people who are disgusted by this kind of thing) who the jokers are in this high school game.

  3. Curious that this is all coming after polling showing Sarah's uptick and the close of the FEC reporting period for Sarahpac.

Can the Romney and the rest of the GOP establishment be that stupid to think that this will have any effect on primary voters in 2012?

  4. Josh, thanks for posting.

As of now, it is Romney (by extension Schmidt & the Wallace Twins) vs. Palin for the heart and soul of the party in '12.

Romney, oh yeah, he is a winner?!?!
