Campbell says he backs Palin's Veto

The soon to be "acting" Lt. Governor for Alaska, Craig Campbell, says he backs Gov. Sarah Palin's veto of the federal stimulus money. Per the Alaska Daily News:

"I do consider that when the federal government offers money and then says, 'but
you have to now implement programs that the citizens of Alaska may not want to
do,' they are bribing you towards a program," he said in response to
questioning.

Mr. Campbell, following Governors Palin's lead on the vetoing of the federal stimulus but also mentioned concerning the Legislators voting down the veto:

"If the Legislature believes that the strings aren't significant and they want
to override the veto, I would not be arguing against that," Campbell replied.

Yet he believes in the policies of both former Governor Frank Murkowski and Governor Sarah Palin:

"The policies of Gov. Murkowski, the policies of Gov. Palin, I support; I think
they've been good governors," he said. "Not on every issue, but I think they've
been good governors."
