Some DeVore supporters losing patience

*
Even some of Chuck DeVore's staunchest supporters are getting impatient with their candidate's failure to climb out of the cellar in the California GOP primary for the chance to challenge Sen. Barbara Boxer in the general election.

CNN contributor Erick Erickson, who has been promoting DeVore on his website RedState.com, said on CNN's "John King USA" tonight that if DeVore doesn't manage to surge in the polls in the next two weeks, "I'll be with Carly Fiorina because Tom Campbell is that bad":

You can view a video of the segment here.

DeVore is currently running fourth in a three person race. According to the lastest Survey USA poll, Campbell gets 35 percent of the poll, followed by Fiorina at 24 percent. 23 percent are undecided, and Campbell only manages 15 percent.

Many of Fiorina's backers are calling for DeVore to drop out of the race and join Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, the National Right To Life Committee and others by endorsing Fiorina. They fear that if DeVore remains in the race, he and Fiorina will split the right-of-center vote, allowing liberal Republican Campbell to easily win the primary.

Money for Nothing: AK Lawmakers Vote to Override

Meeting in a one-day special session, the Alaska Legislature acted Monday, without a vote to spare, to override former Governor Sarah Palin's veto of federal energy stimulus funds.

The legislators got an Obama offer they couldn't refuse -- "money for nothing, checks for free":

Our own lyrics to "Money for Nothing"
(with sincerest apologies to Mark Knopfler)

Now look at them yo-yos thats the way you do it
You take the money that comes from D.C.
That aint workin thats the way you do it
Money for nothin and checks for free
Now that aint workin thats the way you do it
Lemme tell ya them guys aint dumb
Maybe get a blister on their sorry backsides
Maybe get a blister on their bums

We gotta install brand new insulation
Custom building deliveries
We gotta meet fed'ral regulations
We gotta meet those IECCs

See the little maggot there in Obama's pocket
Don't matter if he's R or D
That little maggot works ninety days a year
That little maggot makes fifty Gs

We gotta install brand new insulation
Custom building deliveries
We gotta meet fed'ral regulations
We gotta meet those IECCs

I shoulda learned to be a legislator
I shoulda learned to play both sides
Look at Jay Ramras, deep in the tank for BP
Man we could take some bribes
Stay down in Juneau, for what? about 90 days?
All it's gonna cost you is your sovereignty
That aint workin thats the way you do it
Get your money for nothin get your checks for free

We gotta install brand new insulation
Custom building deliveries
We gotta meet fed'ral regulations
We gotta meet those IECCs, lord

Now that aint workin thats the way you do it
You take the money that comes from D.C.
That aint workin thats the way you do it
Money for nothin and your checks for free
Money for nothin and checks for free

I want my
I want my
I want my
authority

Campbell says he backs Palin's Veto

The soon to be "acting" Lt. Governor for Alaska, Craig Campbell, says he backs Gov. Sarah Palin's veto of the federal stimulus money. Per the Alaska Daily News:
"I do consider that when the federal government offers money and then says, 'but
you have to now implement programs that the citizens of Alaska may not want to
do,' they are bribing you towards a program," he said in response to
questioning.
Mr. Campbell, following Governors Palin's lead on the vetoing of the federal stimulus but also mentioned concerning the Legislators voting down the veto:
"If the Legislature believes that the strings aren't significant and they want
to override the veto, I would not be arguing against that," Campbell replied.
Yet he believes in the policies of both former Governor Frank Murkowski and Governor Sarah Palin:
"The policies of Gov. Murkowski, the policies of Gov. Palin, I support; I think
they've been good governors," he said. "Not on every issue, but I think they've
been good governors."
