At a snails run, trying to make a difference.

Recently, I received an email concerning the turmoil of the people who have been making a mockery of Governor Sarah Palin and Alaska via the Ethics Complaints. Here is his email:
Hello,

I'm writing from Massachusetts to state I think all these frivolous ethics
complaint[s] and the Juneteenth Proclamation violation being brought against
Sarah Palin are starting to make the state of Alaska a side-show spectacle.

Please put an end to this ridiculous waste of your taxpayers money.

What many do not realize is that there has been a bunch of behind the scene work. Emails to the Legislators and Senators. There are many asking if there can be an amendment of some fashion to the State Ethics Act as well as the Legislative Ethics Act. As well as hold those whom are public, reliable for the cost accrued to the State for these types of investigations. Good ideas, yet not much can be done until legislative session has begun, which will be in Jan. 2010.

I would say that many in Alaska did not know or think of these loopholes when these laws were re-written, when Palin came into office. Palin did at least try. But damned if you can change these loopholes after the fact, and of course damned if you don’t change them via the Alaskan publics voice as well as the Nation.

Al, we are trying. Many are trying. People from all over are frustrated. The laws here are different and unlike many through the Nation. When you have so much corruption, it is hard to right something in which was never intended to be wrong. Al, I appreciate the email and soon you and everyone in the Nation will have Governor Palin to move ahead. We here in Alaska, are going to clean up this mess.... it just takes time, which all Alaskans wish we had more when it comes to Sarah.

  1. Hi Upinak, great to see you here.

I've heard a few times about 1/10 for the next session. But aren't the lawmakers calling a special session on August 10 to supposedly override the gov's veto of stimulus energy $$??

Can't Gov Parnell or that Rep Lynn, or whoever it was, who's already gone on the record to change the amendment - bring that business forward during the special session in August?
