A university spokeswoman says the school has been holding fundraisers for more than 40 years and this is the biggest ever. The university did not disclose Palin's speaking fee.Update: The Montgomery Advertiser's coverage is here.
The visit is Palin's third to Alabama in less than a year. She was in Birmingham in November and May. Alabama is an early presidential primary state, but the former Republican vice presidential nominee has not yet disclosed her plans for 2012.
