The Hill: Democrat John Mellencamp impressed with Sarah Palin

*
The artist formerly known as "John Cougar Mellencamp" is one of those rockers who, like Heart's Wilson sisters, objected to having his songs palyed at McCain-Palin rallies during the 2008 presidential campaign. But -- surprise! -- Mellencamp has expressed his respect and admiration for Sarah Palin:
Mellencamp told the Associated Press on Friday that he admires the former Alaska governor, and that people get the wrong idea about Palin, "just because she says things and winks."

To achieve what Palin has accomplished thus far requires intelligence, and Mellencamp said Palin "knows exactly what's she doing."

"She wouldn't be where she is today if she didn't."

Although Palin and Mellencamp are on opposite sides of the political spectrum, the singer said "she's pushing the right buttons" for her supporters, and "you can't be stupid and do that."
We wonder if Mellencamp realizes that his liberal fans will turn on him like rabid bogs for refusing to go along with the offical Democrat Party line that Gov. Palin is "stupid." Hope you invested all that money from record and CD sales wisely, John, because you just made a radioactive isotope out of yourself as far as the unhinged left is concerned.

  1. Hey Josh I have a question about the rally in Orlando tomorrow. Are you 100% sure that the rally is free for Vets? I am about to buy a ticket for myself and wanted to make sure I don't need to buy one for my husband who was in the service. I would hate to travel there from Jacksonville,Fl and him be turned away.Or do you atleast know that if he was could we buy one there at the gate for him to get in or do they only have a certain amount of room. :) Help I don't know who else to ask thanks :)

  4. This is a dnc created disaster in the making. They want to show mad angry people at the rnc rally on the 6 o'clock news and blame Sarah. Those that paid will be mad, those that show up looking to get in free will be mad if they don't. This will be headline news until election day. If it were true there would be an announcement from Sarahpac or the RNC.
