J.E. Dyer: Armed Forces Paging Sarah Palin

*
A plea for assistance to Gov. Palin from J.E. Dyer at Hot Air's Green Room:
Help! Governor Palin, J. Christian Adams (yes, that J. Christian Adams) has an appalling story at Pajamas today that outlines how the US Department of Justice is letting states essentially opt out of the Congressional MOVE Act of 2009. The MOVE Act requires states to send ballots to deployed military voters 45 days prior to an election. It was passed last year to prevent a recurrence of the travesty of 17,000 military votes not being counted in the 2008 election.

[...]

Obama’s Justice Department is giving states a pass if they can’t be bothered to comply with federal law and send ballots out to their deployed military citizens on time. Meanwhile, how can these states possibly justify not doing everything they can to ensure their military citizens’ votes get counted?

J. Christian Adams suggests emailing the Justice Department. Fine. I suggest that citizens of the following 11 states (and one District) call their governors and state representatives, email them, snail-mail them, and show up at their offices:

Alaska
Colorado
Delaware
Hawaii
Maryland
Massachusetts
New Hampshire
New York
Rhode Island
Washington
Wisconsin
and the District of Columbia

[...]

To invoke the George H.W. Bush line after Saddam invaded Kuwait: “This will not stand.”

Governor Palin, we could use your help.

  1. From a Vietnam Vet. I hope Sarah knocks this out of the park. We need all of our military to vote.

  2. I sent this post to my Congressman...the DOJ again, unilaterally, decides to NOT enforce a law passed legitimately by Congress! Such is not just a lax job, it's a blatant violation of their oath of office and tantamount to treason! And,rest assured, Obama agrees with it!
