Plano Palin-mania (updated)

The staff at Legacy Books in Plano are pulling an all-nighter to prepare for Friday's Going Rogue book signing event:
Despite the frigid temperatures, Palin fans are expected to line up hours before.

“They will probably be here before dawn,” said Kyle Hall, a Legacy Books spokesman.

But only ticketed customers will get inside the store.

“We’ve had people saying, 'What time should we be there? I can’t wait to buy the book,'" Hall said. "And we’ve had to break the news that we sold out two days after we announced it."
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that some scalpers have advertised tickets for as much as $500 on the Web:
The former Republican vice presidential candidate is scheduled to sign copies of Going Rogue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Legacy Books in Plano, 7300 Dallas Parkway at Legacy Drive.

Each ticket is good for one book and a chance to ask the former Alaska governor to sign it. Ticket holders will line up outside the store, with the doors opening at 9 a.m.

Thousands of fans have turned out for her book signings in other states. Some even camped overnight outside the stores. At an Arizona book signing, the first person in line waited for 27 hours.

On Craigslist, tickets were being offered Thursday afternoon for $250 or $500 — or in one case, "the best offer."
From Plano, the Going Rogue Book Tour will roll on to Fort Hood, where Sarah Palin has said she intends to donate royalties from book sales on the base to families of the victims of the shootings there last month.
