Sarah Palin: "Oprah was very hospitable and gracious"

From Chicago, where Sarah Palin taped her appearance on the Oprah Show which will air November 16, the former governor posted on her Facebook Notes page:
Oprah on November 16th

Willow, Piper, and I are in Chicago and just wanted to let you know that I had a great conversation with Oprah today. We taped the show for Monday, November 16th, and enjoyed it so much that we went way over on time. The rest will air on Oprah.com. Oprah was very hospitable and gracious, and her audience was full of warm, energized and (no doubt) curious viewers.

  1. No leaks.

    Sarah finished her Oprah interview.

There are still no leaks of substance.

The number of chapters may be an authorized "leak" but that is no leak at all.

Not one quote. Not one juicy item.

    Impressive. Sarah's camp is good.

  2. From nbclosangeles.com/entertainment/

    “Sarah Palin Eyeing Talk Show?
    Wouldn’t give Oprah a yes/no answer...”

Yet the leaks, and spin, starts from the nbc camp and Oprah’s audience.

  3. Sarah knows how to play the media like a violin. Even if she has no intention of doing a talk show, by being noncommittal - instead of saying no - she knows the media will make this front page news and have talking heads speculate about this and her political future on TV for a couple of news cycles. Even Allapundit bought into it. And her Intrade futures price for the 2012 Nomination dropped $3.00 or 15% on the news, assuming this means she is out of politics.

This will of course drive even more book sales!

Exit question: why are she and Todd currently undertaking all that new construction on their Alaska homesite if she is planning on moving to Washington or New York to do a daily talk show?

  4. I do support that Sarah would go on Oprah's show but I have lost a little bit of respect I had for her. I didn't think she played the political games that others did. Nevertheless; I'll watch the entire interivew when it airs. First and only time I'll ever watch Oprah.
