National Media Downplays Size of Palin Crowds

Don Irvine at Accuracy In Media says that reports by the national media are downplaying the size of the crowds that gather at her book signing events. Irvine cites an ABC story on the Fort Wayne, Indiana event headlined "Hundreds Line Up to See Sarah Palin on Day Two of Book Tour":
"In this story ABC News has been very careful to only mention how many people received wristbands and not to give an overall crowd estimate so as to more closely match the headline which was meant to downplay Palin's popularity."
Local television station WANE quoted Meijer's store management as saying that a crowd of some 1,500 people had assembled at the Fort Wayne location in hopes of getting the 2008 Republican VP candidate to sign their copies of Going Rogue.
