B&N Announces "Going Rogue" Book Tour Rules

Via Meta Minton of The Villages Daily Sun, bookseller Barnes & Nobles has released its guidelines for the Nov. 24 visit of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to its outlet in The Villages, where Sarah Palin will sign copies of her memoir Going Rogue.

Store Manager Cheyenne Coon said that because a very large crowd is expected for the 2:30 PM event at Lake Sumter Landing, strict guidelines will be observed for the Palin signing, including:
  • Wristbands will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 7 a.m. Nov. 24. You must be present in order to get a wristband.

  • You must present your Barnes & Noble or Barnes andNoble.com receipt for “Going Rogue” in order to get a wristband.

  • A Maximum of two copies of “Going Rogue” per person will be signed.

  • A parent or guardian must accompany all minors.

  • No posed photos.

  • No personalization of books.

  • No posed photos.

  • No personalization of books.

  • No large bags will be allowed through the signing line.

  • Cell phones and cameras will have to be turned off and put away before customers approach the signing table.
  • It was not immediately clear if similar restrictions will govern book signings by Sarah Palin at other Barnes & Noble locations where the former governor will appear, including Grand Rapids, Michigan; Roanoke, Virginia; Orlando, Florida; Sioux City, Iowa; Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Bloomington, Minnesota.
