Media to Palin: "Rehab Your Image Because We Certainly Won't Rehab Our Own!"

- By Ian Ransom

From every possible angle (especially imaginary ones) liberal miscreants in the media have sought to warp and deform the way Americans perceive Sarah Palin. Palin, in her new book Going Rogue, has referred to this penchant for obsessive misrepresentation as "pathetic and chilling." Those words galvanized me, because they reflect the lady's gift for no-nonsense discernment to perfection.

Anyone who has ever had the misfortune of being stalked (or who knows someone else who's been stalked), knows the disturbing sense of intrusion that is inflicted upon an innocent person by someone who simply can't "let go," by a presence which relentlessly fixates upon its prey with deliberate delusion. The discomfort usually starts with creepy acts of surreptitious surveillance and, before you know it, the irrational, screamingly twisted letters start piling-up.

Sarah knows what she's talking about, because this phenomenon is "chilling" and, as we know, she's got one monster-of-a-stalker: the mainstream media. Her "letters" come daily and by the hundreds: from shamelessly infatuated neurotics inhabiting network anchor-chairs; via hepatitic boors on talk-show sets; by order of vain fops overseeing magazine jades in cubicles; there are even screeds delivered courtesy of budding porn-stars!

The common link between these liberal entities and the garden-variety stalker is that they all view obsession as some form of righteous crusade...and view their victim through the lens of complete derangement. Naturally, they want all others to view the object of their fixation in the same, skewed way that they do. Most tellingly and without fail, stalkers project their own crippling insecurities and glaring personal deficiencies onto their healthy, normal targets.

The only suspense in the skulkings and meanderings of a stalker comes in the question of what he/she will possibly do for the next unnerving "trick." The liberal media's projection of its own diseased nature onto stalwart Sarah Palin is indeed exemplified in the latest little round of mutterings to emanate from their cesspits of contagion. Namely, various voices of venom are hissing that Sarah's new book is primarily an attempt at the much-needed "rehab" of her image.

Spare us. No force in American culture needs to be uber-tranquilized, thrown into a straight jacket, and sequestered in a padded cell more than the liberal media. Sarah Palin apologizes not a whit for being her straightforward, unwaveringly honorable, conservative self and the media brays that she needs to rehab the "image" that they (and they alone) jerry-rigged specifically to destroy her?

Don't be deceived, fellow conservatives. Even as Sarah takes the nation by storm with her policy-substantive memoir and sticks to the honest message of patriotism and effective change that remains her hallmark, ghoulish stalkers in the media will keep their Twisted Insinuation Machine well-oiled. But keep in mind that, the more they degenerate into such enormity of folly, the more they turn the magnifying glass of scrutiny inward to reveal that every castigation of Palin is, in fact, an unwitting commentary about...Themselves.

It is written in Matthew 7.4:
How can you say to your neighbor, "Let me take the speck out of your eye," when there is a plank in your own?
Palin-stalkers in the liberal media take heed.

  1. Amazingly during the Oprah interview, this was addressed. Oprah basically complained that she was accused of snubbing Palin...she has never snubbed anyone. Media says things about you that are not true.

This part did not air originally, but is posted on Oprah.com
