Gov. Palin proclaims June 3 Dutch Harbor Day

Governor Sarah Palin has ordered state flags lowered June 3 in remembrance of the 67th anniversary of the World War II bombing of Dutch Harbor by Japan.
"Today and every day, I encourage the residents of Dutch Harbor and all Alaskans to remember the soldiers who died or were injured defending and reclaiming our shores," Governor Palin said. "We are forever in their debt, and they will never be forgotten."
The governor proclaimed June 3, 2009, as Dutch Harbor Remembrance Day in Alaska.
