Chattering Carl has another anonymous 'source'

Fox News' Carl Cameron, notorious for being the mouthpiece for anonymous sources inside the McCain campaign seeking to discredit former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin duiring last year's campaign, is at it again.

As we reported here, the NRCC has invited and disinvited Gov. Palin twice now to speak at a fundraiser the organization is holding tonight.

Now the opportunistic Cameron is again playing the part of "useful idiot" to those inside the GOP organization who have political agendas of their own. Cameron "contributed to" a Fox article with Chad Pergram's byline headlined "After Mixed Signals, Palin May Try to Upstage Gingrich at GOP Dinner."

Oooh, that uppity woman! Imagine, her wanting to "upstage" Professor Gingrigh like that. It's not like Gingrich, who appears so often on Fox to comment on the news that he should be on the payroll, isn't the king of attention hounds himself. Anyway, get a load of this bit of unbiased reporting by Fox:
A senior Republican source suggested that Palin was "miffed" after it was clear she wouldn't be speaking. Palin was then asked if she would like to attend as NRSC Chairman Sen. John Cornyn's guest.

However the source, who spoke to FOX News on the condition of anonymity, said that if the governor did attend, she would be recognized, but not speak.

"We'll say nice things about her," said the source. "But she's so unpredictable. She just thought she could swoop in."
You don't have to be Captain Obvious to recognize that the "source" is someone in in the camp of a potential Palin opponent for the 2012 GOP nomination.

Thanks for being their willing accomplice, Carl. You're such a tool.

Update: From Hot Air's Greenroom, some common sense.

  1. They're petrified of Sarah Palin. Afraid she'll say something that will actually MAKE SENSE.
