Why Gov. Palin didn't speak at Monday fundraiser

Aaron Burke at The Hill's Blog Briefing Room figured it out:
Apparently there was a reason Sarah Palin was not allowed to speak at Monday's Senate House Dinner: Newt Gingrich used up all the time.
Burke put a clock on the keynote address, and it ran just four minutes shy of a full hour. The blogger suggests that if Gingrich is running for president, the former House Speaker "might want to be a little more succint."
