Sarah Palin to keynote KC area grassroots event May 1

*
Preserving American Liberty (PAL), a political activist organization, says it is bringing Sarah Palin to the Kansas City area on May 1. From its website:
"Preserving American Liberty is proud to present a day of activism. This one day conference will not only address today’s top issues, but also show ordinary citizens how they can participate in government from local town hall meetings all the way up to the national political stage. Sarah Palin the former Vice Presidential nominee and Governor of Alaska will take the stage as our keynote speaker."

"On Saturday, May 1, join other concerned citizens who worry about the direction our nation is headed and who want a secure and promising future for their children. Preserving American Liberty will engage, educate and provide you the tools to make your voice heard and make it count."

"This event will address important topics that the mainstream media usually ignores. Whether it is the growing deficit, broken promises from politicians on both sides of the aisle, health care reform that is full of backroom deals, or the inability of Washington to ’stimulate’ and ‘create/save jobs,’ this is an event you will not want to miss!"
Tickets for the event, to be held at the Independence Events Center in Independence, Missouri, are priced from $50 and will go on sale on the group's website beginning Monday, March 22.

PAL describes itself as "a group of concerned citizens" who:
"... are completely grassroots working together to return our country to the ideals set forth by our Founders. We receive no money, are not funded by any company or organization. We have determined to work together, offering our time, talents and financial contributions to see our stated vision become a reality and we plan to conduct our business with openness and integrity."
