Quote of the Day (February 19, 2010)

theblogprof:
Making fun of her 2-year old son with Down Syndrome is way off-base, even for Freidman who herself has the disorder. Palin was right to respond in defense of her son against the classless, tasteless attack that fell flat in the laughter department...
Friedman went on to say that "My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes."
Now that's just a nasty statement. A low blow, and again using Trig like a weapon to disparage Sarah.
Friedman, who has appeared on the television show "Life Goes On," told the Times that she is "proud" of playing a character with Down syndrome on "Family Guy" and "not embarrassed." She added that she "was making fun of Sarah Palin, but not her son."
Then why include her son and his condition at all? That's just illogical and unreasonable. If Freidman has a sense of humor, it is corrupted. Defragment that hard drive there, Andrea!
