The Orlando Sentinel reports that Sarah Palin attracted quite a crowd of her own as she entered the room for the drivers meeting. Once inside, the first woman to be the vice presidential candidate of the Republican Party sat net to singer and big band leader Harry Connick Jr. she was also seen chatting it up with RNC Chairman Michael Steele.
After the meeting ended, her handlers tried to shuttle her out of the room quickly, but Palin couldn’t help herself and wanted to talk with anybody who wanted to come and say hi.Gov. Palin also spoke briefly to the crowd:
She finally was led out of the building with an entourage of 12, including a police officer, security officer, Daytona officials and spokespeople.
