The "Tea Party leader" who wasn't:

*
Leftist websites TPM Muckraker, Huffington Post and the rest of the usual suspects have been pushing the lie that Dale Robertson is a "Tea Party leader" in the attempt to lend Robertson's criticism of Sarah Palin some credibility. The problem is that Robertson is not a leader of the Tea Party Movement, but rather has been shunned by it. In an op-ed for Andrew Breitbart's Big Government website, Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft reveals that Robertson is a racist and a kook who has been rejected by the Tea Party movement.

Hoift includes a photo of Robertson with a crude sign with the n-word scrawled upon it at a tea party in Texas last year. Robertson was asked to leave, but he won’t go away.
Andrew Ian Dodge wrote about the Robertson problem at Pajamas Media:

Dale is very much not a hero to those who first encountered him in February of last year. He has been described as a fake, a con artist, and worse by frustrated tea party groups across the land. Houston’s, in particular, is so upset at being associated with the man that they sent out the following press release:

1. He is NOT a member of our Leadership team.

2. He owns a website with which we have never been affiliated.

3. He has never been a part of organizing any of the Tea Party rallies in the Houston area, or any other area that we can find.

4. We addressed some issues involving him back in April. Here it is on our website, where Mr. Robertson himself comments: http://houstontps.org/?p=318

5. We do not choose to associate with people that use his type of disgusting language.

Robertson and his publicist encourage the MSM to consider it a mere squabble between various factions involved in the tea party movement. But quick research on the internet shows that no one in the actual tea party movement wants anything to do with the man.

Needless to say, left-wing sites have been repeatedly drawing attention to him as an example of racism in the tea party.
Hoft points out that even leftist magazine Mother Jones has reported the truth that Robertson is not and has never been a leader in the Tea Party movement. Mother Jones even went so far as to state that that the mainstream media had erred in linking Robertson to the movement.

Hoft calls for TPM Muckraker to retract this story. Good luck with that. TPM and other websites are on a mission to spread innuendo, distortion, and lies, so there's little chance they will suddenly feel compelled to tell the truth.

Still, no matter how far the left stretches to conjure up a connection between Robertson and Gov. Palin where none exists, only deranged leftists are gullible enough to believe it. And as it is increasingly becoming clear to the rest of the country, the Left has marginalized itself to the point where the only ones who take it seriously are leftists. Fearful of being contaminated by the stench, independents and libertarians have been running away from the Left as fast as they possibly can.

  1. Quite a coincidence, I just got an email from this guy. I've never visited his site before, so I guess he must of bought an email list, maybe from the nut in CT who used to be with the Draft Palin 2012 group who has now turned against her, and sends out barrages of email. I took myself off his list the other day, and now I get mail from this guy. Personally, I suspect that they are both leftist plants, drawing a paycheck from Axelrod, or MoveOn.org
