'The Undefeated' finally makes its way to the Coachella Valley

Film opens Friday in Palm Desert

Residents of California's Coachella Valley will finally be able to see the documentary about Sarah Palin beginning Friday. Flagship Palme D'Or 7 theater management was originally told by the film's distributors that 'The Unfefeated' would open there July 22. Then the local premiere got pushed back to July 29, and then August 5.

The information first provided earlier this week for the August 5 opening, however, incorrectly listed a theater in San Diego rather than the Palme D'Or in Palm Desert. The likely reason for the mix up is that the name of the San Diego theater is the "Palm Promenade 24." But the palm trees have been sorted our and the confusion resolved, with the result being that the theater is now correctly identified as the Flagship Palme D'Or 7 in Westfield Shoppingtown, 72840 Highway 111 Suite C-104, Palm Desert, CA 92260. Tickets will be on sale Thursday for Friday's opening.

Palm Desert is a major growth center in the Coachella Valley located about 15 miles east of Palm Springs. It is considered to be a mostly conservative community, with Republicans representing the area in both the California legislature and the U.S. House. Population in the 2010 Census was just under 50,000, with another 46,000 in Palm Springs and 51,000 in nearby Cathedral City.
