Betsy, you are woefully ignorant. The fact is, only one percent of Alaska is owned by private interests. The federal government own 65% of the largest state in the union. 34% is owned by the state and various indigenous tribes. That leaves only one percent in private hands.
The portion of ANWR where the oil is located is not a place of scenic beauty. It is a vast expanse of mudflats, and the wildlife there is mainly mosquitos.
Green leftists such as yourself should spend less time demonstrating how poorly acquainted you are with actual facts and more time learning the truth.
No we don't need to tap into ANWR! Leave America's few wilderness areas alone!!! We need to go forward with alternative energy.
