More Quote of the Day Honorable Mention, Part 238

"No Hesitation" Edition
*

Gil Ronen via IsraelNationalNews.com:
"Popular conservative politician Sarah Palin understands the importance of the Temple Mount to the Jewish people, according to MK Danny Danon (Likud), who accompanied her on a visit to the Kotel Sunday. Danon told Arutz Sheva's Hebrew-language service: 'When we toured near the Kotel and in the tunnels near the Holy of Holies, she told me clear things without hesitating. She understands the importance of the place for the Jewish People and even asked me *Why do you keep apologizing to the Muslims all the time?* I explained to her the mistakes made by [then-Defense Minister] Moshe Dayan in 1967 and our mistakes in not fulfilling our rights in the Temple Mount and the Old City,' Danon said. He was referring to Dayan's decision to hand back the keys to the Temple Mount to the Muslim Waqf immediately after the liberation of the Mount in the Six-Day War. Danon noted that Israel has large-scale support in the Christian world but 'we are afraid to take advantage of it. It's as if we are ashamed about ourselves. But there is great support and I felt it in the tour yesterday.'"
Freedom Fighter at Joshuapundit:
"The Governor said this was a personal visit and she deliberately wanted to keep things low key, but promised to return for a week-long visit later on. I have a feeling she'll be quite welcome."
Calvin Freiburger at NewsReal Blog:
"It may be that the primary message of Palin’s trip isn’t for anyone in this country at all, and that its goal is something more than political gain — that she wants to reassure the people of Israel that, in a world which has largely abandoned their nation to the wolves, there remain Americans who still value the friendship between our nations and understand that we must stand together against our common foe. That may not change 'her 2012 game,' but doing the right thing does do wonders for the conscience."
ZIP at Weasel Zippers:
"Israeli Reporter: 'Israelis Don’t Know Much About Sarah Palin But They Know She Loves Israel'… She certainly does, along with the vast majority of Americans (especially those not on the left side of the political spectrum)."
William A. Jacobson at Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion:
"'Why are you apologizing all the time?' With that single sentence made to her Israeli hosts, Sarah Palin demonstrated a greater understanding of the problems confronting Israel than the collective wisdom of all the J.D.'s, Ph.D's, and Masters of International Affairs in the Obama administration combined... Of course, the beauty of Palin's question was that it applies just as well to Obama, who has launched apology tour after apology tour, who dwells on our imperfections, who refuses to lead, and who seems embarrassed by us. 'Why are you apologizing all the time?' That is the question Israelis need to ask, and so do we."
Mark Finkelstein at Newsbusters:
"Could Andrea Mitchell possibly be more snide and condescending toward Sarah Palin?"
Anchorage Activist at Alaska Pride:
"Those who consider Sarah Palin a 'dummy' might want to reconsider after reading this account of her appearance as the closing keynote speaker at the 10th India Today Conclave in New Delhi... During this visit, Palin not only showed her growing foreign policy expertise, but her remarks about China also demonstrated that she took time to familiarize herself with the recent history of South Asia, and in particular, the long-standing dynamic between India and China before her visit. Palin also demonstrated that her Presidential character continues to grow; this visit should result in her being taken more seriously as a Presidential candidate... Palin got an extremely warm welcome when she delivered her address at the conference in New Delhi. She spoke to a packed room on a variety of subjects including the U.S. economy, energy, the rise of China, national security, and finally, to ties between the United States and India."
Little Miss Attila:
"I Hate It When Sarah Palin Forces the President To Go to War...with the power of her sexy mind-rays."
Bernie Quigley at The Hill's Pundits Blog:
"The 'Palin Doctrine': Obama follows Mama Grizzly to war in Libya... Yesterday, President Obama and Secretary Clinton got their no-fly zone. What I thought was odd about this discussion was that it appeared to begin in the mainstream press only with Clark’s thoughtful opposition while one major political figure likely to enter the presidential race of 2012 had already discussed a no-fly zone on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s show: Sarah Palin."
Van Helsing at Moonbattery:
"Abortion advocates must have been exposed to the surveyor symbols on Sarah Palin's infamous map, because they are getting violent..."
ImperfectAmerica at RedState.com:
"So the reasons I love Sarah Palin are thus: She knows what it will take to put the country back on solid economic footing. She’s a rabid Constitutionalist who will reign in the federal government. She will let American interests and the interests of the American people dictate American foreign policy rather than looking to international bodies for direction. She understands the importance of free markets, free trade and energy independence. She believes in American exceptionalism, and perhaps most of all, she understands that individual responsibility is the cornerstone of upon which character, community and country are built. Without that everything else collapses."
Poll Insider at The Jennerjahn Report:
"How quickly will opinion change when people realize that Sarah Palin is not what the media have portrayed her as?"
Moneyrunner at The Virginian:
"Remember just a few months ago when Sarah Palin made the point that food prices were rising and the grief she got for saying it? Well ... 'Wholesale prices rise 1.6 pct. due to biggest jump in food costs in more than 36 years' ... Keep in mind that Sarah Palin’s comment on food prices was made in the context of her criticism of Federal Reserve policy... That makes Sarah Palin a better forecaster than Ben Bernanke, the people at the Wall Street Journal who doubted her and Ryan Chittum and the rest of the Obama cheerleaders at the Columbia Journalism Review. Oh how I wish Sarah Palin were president."
Wesley J. Smith at Secondhand Smoke:
"Statements such as Maher’s–and their tolerance by the usually hyper-sensitive politically correct police–tell us nothing about Palin and everything about the core of the spewer and the toleraters who laugh it off–or who, like the members of Maher’s audience, think it’s really funny."
Tam at View From The Porch:
"Two Minute Hate... Watch as famous Smart Person Bill Maher warms up the crowd by denouncing Emmanuel Goldstein [Sarah Palin]. See how the Smart crowd (which includes, I would be willing to bet, at least one graduate of a Women's Studies program,) cheers its approval. Imagine the howls of outrage if this was some conservative commentator using that term to describe, say, Hillary or Michelle. For that matter, imagine a crowd full of arugula-deprived Dittohead squares reacting with approval to the use of the word... in public. Way to keep the discourse elevated, there, Bill. You wouldn't know the high ground if the quaestores ordered you hurled off of it."
