Democrats have long accused Republicans of being haters, and one of the patented lies they love to tell is that Sarah Palin worked crowds up into a frenzy of hate at campaign rallies last year. But for those who have the stomach to visit the sewer that is Democratic Underground, the 'Rats prove that Democrats are the real haters.
Here are some comments from a DU thread about the perp who was arrested for throwing a tomato at Sarah Palin during a recent Going Rogue book signing event...
Several haters showed their support for the perp:
"Wow. Where do we send money to help with his legal bills?"Others said that the tomato tosser didn't go far enough:
"I will contribute to any fund to aid in his defense"
"I hope he gets off for his act of political protest"
"Give that man a Medal"
"I'm proud to be a Minnesotan!"
"Rotten eggs would be better"Others played the tired old dehumanization card from the Left's stacked deck:
"He should have been throwing dogsh**"
"Shoulda waved a gun"
"to throw two tomatos at a former repug VP candidate and miss, is totally unforgivable"
"Doesn't come close to the moosesh** she's be (sic) throwing at everyone... But it's a start"
"but Hillary and Obama are 1) real politicians and 2) human beings"Still another pretends that the million-selling author has no relevance:
"Those poor, poor tomatoes desecrated on Moose Bunny"
"She is irrelevant, why give her publicity"AT DU, there's always conspiracy theorists in the 'Rat's nest:
"Hell, she probably hired him to do it. Hasn't been on TV in days"The fascist card also got played:
"her publisher probably paid him to do it in order to boost sales"
"But were they liberal tomatoes or fascist Republican tomatoes?"And a claim that it was Sarah Palin's fault that a loony lib tried to assault her:
"Its such a shame that palin and her ilk make some people want to stoop to the level"There were only a few commenters who denounced the act, not all because it is wrong, but because it makes Dems "look bad."
Take a long look, undecideds and independents. Are these the kind of people you want to be associated with?

JP,
ReplyDeleteSorry but I'd rather not add to their site hit list. It feels like some form of approval of their message. I do appreciate you posting their rantings though. This way I am still informed because you took one for the team. Thanks.
No problem. Of course now I have to take a shower with Lysol and a wire brush...
