Why we moderate comments

We occasionally get comments which complain because we moderate comments. The comments we reject are, of course, from left-wing hate cases almost entirely, although we reject a few from the right also.

Don't like it? We couldn't care less. Blogs are easy to get. Just a couple of clicks and you can be a blogger too. Any lefty who doesn't like us rejecting their comments should tell it to Democratic Underground, which deletes all comments which aren't pro-leftist, no matter how reasoned or respectful the argument. So when the Palin-haters try to browbeat us for not publishing their comments, we just yawn. But we are occasionally slightly amused at those who say that Sarah Palin is dumb and her supporters are just dumb for supporting her. This from people who were so stupid that they voted for a president who is driving the nation off of a cliff and a vice president who can't seem to get his foot out of his mouth.

It's not like there aren't enough hate blogs out there that were created for the sole purpose of bashing Sarah Palin. The clueless commenters need to take their crap to one or more of those sites. Here's are excerpts from just one of their comments we recently rejected:
"The old fart grandmother, whose dried up womb now bears only misfits, is blaming Obama because she ignored scientific medical advice."

[...]

"Grandmother Palin, recklessly, in disregard for sound science brought into the world a damaged child..."

[...]

"The Alaska Healthcare Option as existed under Palin's Regime was to put the poor onto icefloes and push them out to sea..."
The Left has no deficit of hate and ignorance. Oh, well, just think of all the keyboards we have saved from serious barf contamination by rejecting these leftists' venomous, moronic and hate-filled rants.

Jesus said that the food one takes into the body is not what defiles a man, but rather the words which come from his mouth are what defiles him. Were He with us in the electronic age, the Lord would no doubt expand on that to include the hands and fingers that defile the person by tapping out words of hate on computer keys and and working a mouse to photoshop a devil's head onto the body of an innocent child.

Those who don't like the way we moderate our comments can burn in hell.

  1. I had to laugh at this comment: "Grandmother Palin, recklessly, in disregard for sound science brought into the world a damaged child..."

My first thought in response to that one was, "You mean like YOUR mama?" :D

  2. Thank you for being forthright and sane. I support your policy of rational censorship. It is true that, while there are many who sincerely wish to communicate, there are also those who only wish to destroy communication.

  3. I am all for moderated comments on any blog or site. Some people simply don't deserve to have their comments left to assault the readers. And we must be very clear here... NO ONE is getting their freedom of speech cut off. After all, no one is stopping them from saying anything they want. But we aren't obligated to either listen or help them advertise their comments. Like Josh said, get your own blog.

  4. Yep, Dan, that's the reason I give over at Sarah's Facebook whenever I report someone:

    "Only here to attack"

    They're destroying communication.

'Course, I doubt Facebook ever does anything about my reports ...
