Americans United for Change is going after Sarah Palin's FaceBook on Healthcare

Anyone want to know whose pocket the AUFC is in?

How can you support something when you are a Not-For-Profit but it is for a “Government that Works for All of Us”? Yet, they seem to keep lobby personnel at their beck and call.

Well when it is called American United for Change (AUFC), it seems you can. They are running an ad, very soon from the sounds of it, in response to Sarah Palin and her posts on Facebook concerning healthcare.

Now, I know a thing about or two about 501’s. They have to show ALL contributions that have been “sent in” to the IRS as well as the “members or volunteers” of their group. It is a yearly item and it IS mandatory. Also you can get the information from the IRS as it is a not-for-profit. So since it is a 501c4, who are they lobbying for and who is in their pocket?

OOPS!

This IS for political motive. What organization, in their right mind would go forward with HR3200? Heck even AARP is beginning to feel the effects. By the way Americans United for Change. If I contribute and then ask for a yearly (or maybe a year by year) statement... Are you going to deny all of us?

Per the IRS:
To be tax-exempt as a social welfare organization described in Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501(c)(4), an organization must not be organized for profit and must be operated exclusively to promote social welfare. Pursuant to changes enacted as part of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights 2, the earnings of a section 501(c)(4) organization may not inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual.
And what I would like to hear about, per the IRS website on 501c4's:
However, a section 501(c)(4) social welfare organization may engage in some political activities, so long as that is not its primary activity. However, any expenditure it makes for political activities may be subject to tax under section 527(f).
I want to know who you “donate” your funds to, as you ARE known as a lobbying group. Who are you talking to up on the Hill? Anyone else want to see who these people talk to?

Update: Ruby Slippers shows how the AUFC ad can modified to turn the tables on the moonbats. And Dan Riehl wonders how "irrelevant" can Sarah Palin be to provoke the unhinged Left into running ads against her.
