As Sloan trained his camera on the large welcome sign, he heard a car pull up behind him on the side of the road. The South Carolinian turned around to see a woman dressed in running gear with her hair in a ponytail step out of a black Volkswagen just a few yards away from him.
"I thought, 'that looks like Sarah Palin, but it can't be.'" Sloan said. "Then, when someone approached her, I heard her say, 'I'm Sarah.'"The 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate chatted by the side of the bus with those who had stepped out to take photos, then went inside the bus to greet each member of the tour group, shaking hands, exchanging hugs, posing for photos and signing autographs.
"I was blown away," Sloan said.
While all of this was taking place, Todd Palin was still sitting the car. Chip Sloan approached him and struck up a conversation:
"It was like we had known each other a long time. He was as nice as anyone could be," Sloan said. When the bus left the spot, Sloan had more photos recorded in his camera than he had expected to shoot, and Sarah Palin got a later start on her daily run than she had planned.

That sounds like the kind of lady I can't wait to hear speak and hopefully one day be our President.
ReplyDelete“She was so down-to-earth,” Jerry Frazier said. “There didn't seem to be anything pretentious. For her to stop, in a light rain, just to meet some people on a bus, told me that she loves meeting people.”
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine Romney doing this? Can you imagine anyone from Alaska traveling to the hometown of Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty or Gingrich, essentially to just take a picture of a sign? This kind of reaction to Sarah Palin is what the 0bama camp takes notice of, and this is why they continue their disgusting attacks upon her via Jesse Griffin, Shannyn Moore, Linda Biegel, Dennis Zaki, Andree McLeod and a host of other lowlifes.
Note the date. Sarah and Todd had just driven from Fairbanks.
ReplyDeleteCompare this truth to the lie that had been spread earlier by evil people.

They were riding from Denali to Anchorage July 27 when the bus stopped at the entrance of the hometown of Palin, who rose to national prominence when 2008 presidential candidate John McCain chose her as his running mate.
Driven by husband Todd, Palin was planning to jog a few miles shortly after the couple had completed a bumpy, 315-mile ride from Fairbanks. Palin had stepped down as governor a day earlier during a press conference in Fairbanks.
“She said Todd was taking her to jog, but she wanted to stop and say hi,” said Peggy Frazier.
