John McCaslin hears from "a source close to" Sen. John McCain that DC lobbyist/consultant Rick Davis, who was CEO of the McCain campaign at the time, was the man behind the decision to select Gov. Sarah Palin for the #2 spot on the GOP presidential ticket last year

How smitten by Sarah was Davis? The close source says:

"It was all his doing. He was completely snowed by Palin. He was totally taken by her."

OMG! The nutroots bloggers were right. Alaska's Governor obviously learned some magic from that witch doctor preacher that visited her church, and she put poor Rick Davis under a spell.
