Gov. Palin will finish first term working hard

Even though Charlie Cook lists her gubernatorial seat as "solid" (2010 race not considered competitive and not likely to become closely contested), don't expect Gov. Palin to change her laser-like focus on Alaska. She wants to finish her first term by doing such an outstanding job that she will win re-election in 2010 by a landslide.

The prudent political candidate and the wise campaign manager take nothing for granted.

Update: Rothenberg agrees with Cook, calling the Alaska governor's seat "safe."
