"And now she has signed a contract to write her memoirs and, like her other accomplishments, was thoroughly mocked for it by assorted Democrats, left-wing talkers and others who find her cheery persona unreasonably infuriating."McFeatters dismisses criticism that the governor will have a collaborator helping her put her personal journal into galley-ready form, pointing out that most politicians have used ghostwriters and citing Hillary Clinton's It Takes a Village as an example.
The editorial writer's zinger comes when he refers to gov. Palin's "support of Miss California's backhanded slap at gay marriage." It wasn't anything of the sort, Mr. McFeatters. Carrie Prejean was asked a question, and she answered it honestly. she has the same position on the issue as the President of the United States, for Pete's sake, and in the aftermath of the flap over her answer, she has repeated said that she respects those with opinion opposed to her own and would appreciate being given the same respect fir her own opinion in return.
The editorial concludes:
"The good thing is that arguably our most riveting politician will surely be coming to the Lower 48 for a book tour with lots of TV appearances and interviews in the run-up to November congressional elections and her own re-election. It won't be quite the high-octane fun of Campaign '08, but it will do."- JP
