Chris Wallace has "nothing but admiration" for Sarah Palin

*
On MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show Monday, host Joe Scarborough insisted that Chris Wallace had rolled his eyes after interviewing Sarah Palin on "Fox News Sunday" the previous day. Scarborough went on to theorize that the alleged eye roll was actually a coded signal to Wallace's friends that Palin "isn't a serious thinker." Megyn Kelly, anchor of "America Live" on Fox News, interviewed Wallace Thursday to see if there was any thuth to Scarborough's claim. There wasn't, of course. Kelly's producer replayed a tape of the interview showing that the FNS host did not roll his eyes, and Wallace said that he "came away from the interview with nothing but respect" for former Gov. Palin. Wallace didn't pull any punches in the interview, saying that Scarborough lives "way out there where the trolleys don't run at night," and "I'm Offended People Watch Him On MSNBC." The FNS host also suggested that "Morning Joe should switch to decaf." Ouch! That has to leave a mark.

  1. Joe Scarborough is a piece of human garbage. Its one thing for him not to like Sarah Palin. This is America, and he is free to feel the way he wants. He's low class because he tried to make people believe Wallace shared his views of Palin without even asking the man. Palin Derangement Syndrome is on display by the left and those who make up the pseudo right like Joe Scarborough. As for the WAPO/ABC News Poll, that poll is such a joke on so many levels. The timing of the poll being released on Palin's birthday is beyond suspect in it's own right. If Palin has truly
deteriorated among conservatives, how come she is the front runner in the Zogby poll and only three points behind Romney in the Gallup poll? After Obama won in 2008, the Washington Post and ABC admitted that their coverage of Obama was "slanted" in his favor, so with that being said, why would anyone trust a poll by those two in regards to Palin?

    According to the WAPO poll
"Fifty-five percent of Americans have unfavorable views of her, while the percentage holding favorable views has dipped to 37, a new low in Post-ABC polling".

What is missing in the 55% number is the breakdown of the sample rate of the people involved. Liberal media polls are notorious for oversampling democrats to get their desired poll numbers. I would love to know the percentage of Republicans that were used in the sample rate versus Independents and Democrats. The 55% of "Americans" statement is so misleading. Not every American votes. Children born in America are still Americans but the can't vote until age 18. The poll didn't mention anything about "likely voters" or "registered voters". With 52% of the electorate voting for Obama, it is a no brainer that most of those voters who voted for Obama aren't fans of Palin.

This is another part where the poll becomes laughable to anyone who is a true conservative

"Palin has lost ground among conservative Republicans, who would be crucial to her hopes if she seeks the party's presidential nomination in 2012. Forty-five percent of conservatives now consider her as qualified for the presidency, down sharply from 66 percent who said so last fall."

If what the WAPO said is true, why is Sarah Palin leading in most polls conducted by mainstream pollsters like Zogby, Rasmussen and Gallup? If Palin is truly eroding, why is she never lower then two in most polls for leading GOP candidates for 2012? If I was a betting guy, I would bet my last dollar that the media is ginning up bogus poll numbers in attempting to plant seeds into Palin's mind in an effort convince her she couldn't win the GOP nomination. It's just so odd how legitimate pollsters like Zogby, Rasmussen, Gallup, Quinnpac and others never seem to reflect the numbers that the "media polls" bear out.

  2. The sample in the ABC/WaPo poll was 32 percent Democrat, 26 percent Republican, and 39 percent unaffiliated.

  3. Thanks Josh, I figured there would be more Democrats then Republicans in the poll. I forgot the name of the last poll I checked a few months ago, but the poll had Palin's support among independent voters at 43%. Sarah Palin hasn't done anything negative in the public eye to warrant any "erosion in her numbers. It is impossible to believe with a straight face that Sarah Palin's favorable rating is at 37%. Something isn't adding up.

  4. These polls are not important now. The only polls that count now are those that measure the chances of Sarah Palin winning the nomination; so only polls that measure her standing among republicans are useful. In this respect she is doing well. Romney is the only opponent to worry about; and if she continues like this she will beat him.

  5. That is very true b.e. By now I believe Sarah knows how the game is played by the media and to take what they say and their polls with a can of salt.
