Sarah Palin to keynote county GOP event in Oregon

Sarah Palin will speak at a fundraising dinner at the Hilton in Eugene, Oregon April 23, says the chairman of the Lane County GOP, Dr. Bill Young:

The dinner and speech will not be open to the public. Lane County Republicans plan to mail invitations to volunteers, donors and precinct committee people in Lane County. Proceeds will go to support the Lane County Republican Party.

About 750 tickets will be available. If there is still room available, they will make tickets available to Republicans in other counties.

According to Dr. Young, his county organization has been working for quite some time to get the 2008 vice presidential candidate of the Republican Party signed for the Lincoln Day Dinner:

"We wanted to increase the visibility of Republicans in Lane County and also just to have something that would energize us locally," said Young.

No word yet on ticket prices, but Republicans in Lane County can get on the list to get theirs by contacting the county GOP office:
