Danielle Bean blogs on the National Catholic Register's website:
Well... it might as well be a bold pro-life statement that gets her into trouble this time.
She and daughter Bristol are featured on the cover of... In Touch Weekly which hits news stands today. I like the simplicity of the mother-daughter message:
“We’re Glad We Chose Life.”
I don’t often look for much cross-over content between magazines that specialize in celebrity gossip and Faith & Family, but this cover even a Catholic family magazine would be proud to print. Two pretty moms with their smiling cutie-pie babies, proudly declaring their joy at having chosen to give these children life..

Love this! You know I do, Josh. :-) You KNOW I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention that I love this????
ReplyDeleteJosh, I reeeeeeeeeeeeally love this.
ReplyDeleteReally.
ReplyDeleteMy passion on this issue should, in no way, be misinterpreted as "Kool-Aid". I've busted my rear end for 17 years to get awareness on this issue and if anyone over at Red State or anywhere else wants to call it "Kool-Aid" when I express my joy over things like this, they don't know the blood, sweat and tears I have put into helping young women considering abortion who were booted out of their homes by parents who told them they had to get an abortion before coming back. "Kool-Aid" my rear end! People can be PASSIONATE about SUBSTANCE that has been kicked under the rug for decades. It's not "Kool-Aid". It's DELIGHT that we finally have someone who can change things on a massive scale.
ReplyDeleteMost so called conservative politicians would try and down play the issue of being pro life vs pro abortion. You got to hand it to Palin, she doesn't shy away or try and hide anything. That is why average people connect with her so much.
ReplyDeleteWhen family, the basic building block of any sane society is so clearly lauded and lived, those of us who espouse this reality feel so vindicated - life is such a very precious gift from God and it finds some of its most glorious moments within the family group where every member unconditionally grants beingness to every other member, nurturing each other. A society which is built on such a rock-solid base is what I believe our founding fathers envisioned. The Palins "get it". they live it 24/7 and have so much love left over, it spills out into "their community", which, as I perceive it, includes all mankind.
ReplyDeleteSo Lisa, are you trying to say you love this? ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't it refreshing to see a story on two women as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside?
I pray that Bristol's future holds a Jesus loving, Bible believing and God fearing man of faith who'll love & protect her right while raising Tripp as his own.
Glad I got my copy on the first day, 'cause they were sold out on day two...
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge Palin fan, but I'm glad that she is speaking on this issue. I had read an interview or commentary on cahtolicmom.com where Palin said she thought for a brief moment about not having Trig. But God must have been with her and she has a handsome little guy there. The point made on the webiste by some was that there is way in which we need to speak to women and girls about their reasoning, and develop a better understanding of what they might be going through before we try to tell them what to do. I agree with this thought because the battle is being played out in such a negative manner. People are butting heads instead of speaking from a loving place.
