Today's words, boys and girls, are "scumbag" and "scumbaggery."
The Urban Dictionary provides a number of definitions. This one seems to be the best fit:

Update: Politico's Ben Smith links to a Larry King transcript proving Levi's Vanity Fair statements contradict what he was saying about the Palins in April.

At tea party protests, Palin's is the name heard most often amongst participants. In El Paso, Texas Wednesday, the crowd chanted "Sar-rah, Sar-rah." One hot item: "Draft Sarah Palin 2012″ t-shirts.
(my note: at the townhall with Howard Dean in VA last week the crowd there chanted "Sarah Sarah Sarah" in response to chants by the pro-0bama crowd.
I usually don't agree with him as of late, but Buchanan has a point about Todd taking out this "scumbag" to a lake and testing how long he can maintain his stamina with his head underwater!!!

About the time you posted this thread today, I blogged a comment on the rapidly-growing Levi Johnston thread at "Conservatives4Palin."
Just thought I would post the comment here as well, since it coincidentally ties in to your topic of "scumbaggery":

"Rex Butler and his cohort, Tank Jones, are the real scumbags as they continue to prod and pull Levi away from any semblance of a 'moral compass' he might have had at one time.
"At first, I envisioned Rex Butler as a handsome, somewhat erudite version of a Johnnie Cochran-type attorney........ until I saw him. Then, after reading about Butler/Tank and hearing their comments on videotape, I quickly concluded that the two are simply scumbags. They remind me of a former tag-team wrestling duo with bad knees who got way overweight and can't maneuver anymore. They have no class whatsoever.
"Levi says in one of the interviews that he would like to change the misconception that his family is 'white trash.' Well, son, you hooked up with the wrong partners for that. They are pulling you further into the hog trough.

Sadly, MSNBC is one of the tanks that feed the scumbag.
