Like many other leftist hate sites, Planet of the Chimps 2 mocks Palin and Wasilla Assembly of God, a church she no longer attends:
"One of the musical directors at the church, Adele Morgan, who has known Ms. Palin since the third grade, said the Palins moved to the nondenominational Wasilla Bible Church in 2002, in part because its ministry is less 'extreme' than Pentecostal churches..."But the Left also loves to criticize even the non-denominational church that the Palin's moved to seven years ago. A New York Times story from September of 2008 which said that the Wasilla Bible Church had "come under fire" turned out be frighteningly prophetic, as less than a hundred days after the Times story was published, the church was torched in what was likely a hate crime now mostly forgotten:
"Accelerants were found in multiple locations on the outside of Wasilla Bible Church, including around entrances and exits, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives."Whatever assistance ATF has provided to the task force hasn't helped bring the perp or perps to justice. It is now nine months since the crime, and no arrests have been made. Who cares? It's not like Obama's church was burned or anything. If, God forbid, that had happened, the lowlife responsible would have already served most of the first year of a long, long sentence.
[...]
"Five church members were inside when the blaze started but they were able to get out safely after the fire alarm sounded."
[...]
"Palin was traveling to Juneau on Sunday and didn't attend the service but her husband, Todd, and four of their children did."
"The investigation into the fire is being conducted by a joint task force. The Central Mat-Su Fire Department and Wasilla Police Department are heading up the investigation with help from the ATF and state fire marshal's office. State troopers responded to the scene but are not involved in the investigation, spokeswoman Megan Peters said."
But you won't read about any of that on the nutroots blogs that attack former Governor Palin, her church and her former church. On the dozens of moonbat blogs which claim that she's a "theocrat" you won't read how she did not govern as one:
"Weeks after taking office as Alaska's governor in December 2006, Sarah Palin vetoed a bill that sought to ban benefits for the same-sex partners of state workers. It was unconstitutional, she said."No, you won't read about how Palin actually governed; all you will read on the moonbat blogs is theocrat, theorcrat, theocrat.
"This year, she rebuffed religious conservatives who wanted her to add two abortion restriction measures to a special legislative session on oil and gas policy, even though she supported the bills."
[...]
"'She has governed from the center,' says Rebecca Braun, author of Alaska Budget Report, a non-partisan political newsletter. 'She has in some small ways supported her religious views — for example, proposing money to continue the office of faith-based and community initiatives — but she has actually been conspicuously absent on social issues.'"
You will also not read about Rev. Wright's conspiracy-laden sermons at any of the sites that vilify Sarah Palin and her faith. Even if you did, you would have been assured that Obama wasn't in church on any of those days. Somehow he managed, over a period of twenty years, to skip church on the very same days when the Rev. had his moonbat mojo working. Go figure.
However, on a few of those sites, you will see the same conspiracy theories promoted that Wright preached about. At Ver. 2.0 of Planet of the Chimps, for example, there's lots of stuff there about 9/11 being an inside job, "Israel=WWIII" and... well, you get the picture, warped as it may be.
This is, after all, the radical left we're talking about here, where the Big Lie is King and Alinsky is Chief Architect.

I think those web bloggs that support Sarah Palin should ask for donations to help put up a reward, like crime stoppers has, to be awarded to anyone providing information leading to an arrest of those in volved in the crime.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say that she was absent from social issues - parental notification bill?
ReplyDeleteRight, Shane, she wasn't totally absent from social issues. But my point is that she did not govern as the theocrat that the Left wrongfully insists she is.
