Sarah Palin has completely unhinged the Left

Well, their doors weren't exactly plumb before Gov. Palin became a national figure and a conservative rock star. But now they've completely lost it.

Just do a Google or Bloglines search for Sarah Palin. You'll notice that for every two pages of nutroots attack posts, you may find one positive diary from a conservative blogger. And the memes the Left keep pursing would be laughable were they not so pathetic.

One popular meme promoted by the lefty bloggers is that Gov. Palin is somehow a hypocrite for having apprehensions before she gave birth to a Down Syndrome child. It goes something like, "See, she wants choice for herself and no one else!" The point is that Sarah Palin, when she examined her faith, her beliefs and her principles, realized that she had no choice.

Another common meme from the lefty bloggers is that the governor is political toast with the GOP establishment, which is, of course, nothing more than their wishful thinking. It's based on nothing more than anonymous rumors on a US News blog that is the political equivalent of a gossip column. It never occurred to these geniuses to listen to Michael Steele's comments on the eve of the right to life dinner Thursday night and what he had to say in his introduction of Gov. Palin at that event. It's all documented here, and here. Then there are the recent very pro-Palin comments of A.B. Culvahouse to consider. And, to put icing on the cake, there are these remarks from Fred Malek in praise of Alaska's governor. Now you don't get much more establishment in the Republican Party than RNC chairman Steele and GOP insiders Culvahouse and Malek. Each of these men has gone out of his way to show respect and admiration for Sarah Palin, and each of them considers her to be a leading prospect for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

As much noise as the nutroots are making to push these myths about Gov. Palin, they pale in comparison to extreme leftist and Hollyweirdo Janeane Garafolo, who recently claimed that the Tea Party demonstrations were racist because there's a black man in the White House. It doesn't even occur to her that the protests were mostly about taxes, and it was no coincidence that they were held on Tax Day. Yet Garafolo recently accused Sarah Palin of being "small-minded" and "mean-spirited." What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is a clear case of projection. Ah, but all the French onion dip slid off of Garafolo's Triscuit a long time ago.

I don't know who the lefties think they are fooling with all this insanity and vitriol about Gov. Palin. Mostly, they are preaching to the choir. Oops, bad metaphor, but you get the drift. Most people, those capable of rational thought, at least, don't read the nutroots. The lefty bloggers are having some success with this sort of outreach, however. I can think of one liberal blogger who considers himself "moderate" and is sounding more and more like an unhinged Kos Kid every day. But that's not conversion. It's outing.

  1. I hope some of the leftists will come to their senses by independence day and realize what the point of the Tea Parties is, and that it is in their interests as well to have their representatives in DC listening to their constituents.

I don't quite understand why their is so much negative focus on Palin, who by all accounts is among the most popular governors in the US right now, when they have just succeeded in putting a leftist in the white house and already have leftists in charge of both the House and Senate.
