Gov. Palin Will Keynote AZ Sportsmen's Banquert May 15

Sarah Palin will return to The Valley of the Sun Saturday, May 15 to keynote the Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation's (AZSFWC) Second Annual Heritage Banquet at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in north Phoenix. The dinner program starts at 5:30 PM:
Governor Palin, who is also an avid hunter and angler, will share her views on wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting Arizona’s hunting and fishing heritage for future generations of sportsmen.

Pete Cimellaro, the Heritage Banquet Chairman, said that there is perhaps no one better than Palin to speak about their organization’s goals and to serve as a role model for women and families to participate in the state’s wildlife conservation efforts.
Cimellaro praised Gov. Palin for showing the country that hunting, fishing and conservation has an important role in the lives of millions of Americans:
It was only a dream when we first invited Governor Palin to attend the Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation's Second Annual Heritage Banquet, and now it has now become reality. Governor Palin will join AZSFWC's Board of Directors and members, in celebration of our "Outdoor Heritage". We are honored that she has chosen to come to Arizona for this event.

Today in America, Governor Palin is recognized as a leader among sportswomen. She understands the important role hunters and anglers have played in the conservation of America's wildlife. If not for sportsmen and the thousands of sportsmen conservation organizations across this great land, the resources to manage and support necessary wildlife programs would be significantly reduced...

All across this great country, America's families are getting together and enjoying the great traditions of hunting and fishing, in addition to providing the necessary support and resources for wildlife and its habitat... Who better to celebrate our outdoor heritage than Governor Palin? She is a woman, a mother, a wife and a highly respected American who shares our passion for the outdoors and all it has to offer.
Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation is a 501-c-3 not-for-profit organization whose mission is to educate and inform sportsmen, wildlife conservation organizations throughout the state and the public at large on important issues related to wildlife and wildlife habitat and to provide, via grants or other sources, funding to conserve Arizona's wildlife populations through habitat enhancement initiatives.
