More Quote of the Day Honorable Mention, Part 74

*
"Morning in America Again" Edition...

Patrick S. Adams at Liberty's Lamp:
"Five years from now, it will be morning in America... again. Sarah Palin will give her 'Statue of Liberty' speech and we will beam with pride and joy over our great nation and the great woman who will be leading it."
Susan Duclos at Wake up America:
"Is Sarah Palin unstoppable in regards to becoming the 2012 GOP presidential nominee? No, after all, everyone thought Hillary Clinton was inevitable, unstoppable and look what happened there. Palin does appeal though, to women across the country, even those that are not her supporters and she has garnered some respect from some unlikely places. She appeals to people who have had to worry about paying their bills, those concerned about what Barack Obama and the Democratically controlled Senate and Congress are doing to our country financially, the federal debt, the taxes, etc... Although it is too soon to worry about 2012 and the next presidential campaigns and who will and won't be chosen, since Sully brings it up so hysterically, while not unstoppable, if the GOP do pick Palin as their nominee in 2012... the question would become, can we afford another four years of Barack Obama? If that ends up being the single most important question in the 2012 presidential election, would I vote for Palin over Obama? You Betcha."
George Johns at Sleepless in Midland:
"She's a phenomenon, a force to be reckoned with. Her political opponents feared her so much they applied the full Alinsky against her when she ran for V.P."
Andrew Marcus at Big Government:
"The problem for the Progressive smear machine, and they know it, is that the jig is up. More and more Americans are becoming aware of the Alinksy song and dance the Progressives have been running. Their charges of racism and labels of stupid and evil grow less and less effective every day. The advantage for the Right is that the Progressives have no other strategy than to go vicious, so the Left will likely double down on the tactic. Doing so will only expose them as hypocrites when it comes to their claim of righteously elevating the narrative above cheap personal attacks, and working to solve our nation’s problems. Who more than Sarah Palin can inspire the Left to so publicly display their ugliness and contempt for American civility?"
Ghost of a flea:
"Canadian 'feminists', unmoved by the epistemic closure of stoning women to death, are driven to apoplexy by her very name. Because Sarah Palin is a real feminist."
Darleen Click at protein wisdom:
"My actual posts on Sarah Palin are very few and far between; mostly because I just quietly enjoy watching the Left give itself wedgies over her. From Trig-trootherisms to dark conspiracies of what torture the Palins inflicted on Levi to recant his earlier Palin-trashings, the demonstrations of fear over this small dynamo who dares to be an 'inauthentic' woman are as entertaining as they give us continued examples of the epistemic closure endemic to the Left. Today’s case in point is to observe the hilariously subtitled Slate sop to 'Feminism', XX Factor: What Women Really Think [heh]. There are five, count ‘em, five separate posts on Ms. Palin just since July 8... So, if you please, forgive me for endulging in a little schadenfreude this morning at the expense of the ladies at Slate — oh, and that can include the predictable playing of the raaaaacist card by jilted David Frum."
The Weasel at Sydney Conservative:
"Sarah Palin is criticized for what Obama got a free pass on. She promises to do something, while Obama does nothing."
Al Maurer at The Constitutionalist Today:
"One common fallacy of relevance is the ad hominem attack: attacking the person instead of the argument. The perfect example of this is the left attacking Sarah Palin personally... rather than [debating] her beliefs. Alinsky takes this further in advocating making fun of someone so that nothing that person says will be believed. They also try this with Glenn Beck and with the Tea Party movement in general. Once you know the game, it’s over: the more they attack someone, the more right that person must be."
ALa at Blonde Sagacity:
"A Palin 2012 run is the only conclusion one can come to...right?"
David Swindle at NewsReal Blog:
"I’ve been more than charitable with David Frum... But after Frum’s radical assault on David Horowitz yesterday that’s all behind us... The fact is this: Frum cares more about attacking fellow conservatives than he does defending America from the Left and Islamofascism. The articles featured at Frum Forum confirm this beyond dispute. Frum would rather trash important defenders of America like Sarah Palin, Beck, Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, and now Horowitz than stand alongside them in the shared quest."
BogieGirlUSA:
"Don’t mess with Momma Grizzly! She doesn’t intimidate easily..."
JASmius at Hard Starboard:
"What if the latter half of Red Barry's term is consumed with defending all the policies that destroyed the Pelosi/Reid Politburo, thus even more closely tying him to them? What if other 'unexpected' setbacks come hurtling his way? And what if the GOP doesn't 'play it safe' in 2012 with a Romney or Huckabee but goes for broke with... Sarah Palin? Sure, Jimmy Carter was overjoyed when Ronald Reagan won the right to challenge his re-election. Right up until Election Night, when he could no longer escape the reality that the drip, drip, drip of failure piles up until it reaches critical mass, beyond which not even 'some kind of a god' can escape."
Clio at The Bold Pursuit:
"When Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska almost a year ago, almost every pundit predicted her political demise and fade from public life -- and they could not have been more wrong."
Ellen K at The Sum of All Things According 2 Me:
"Note that President Obama has banished Fox News and repeatedly complained about unfair treatment any time his actions are called into question. This type of childish behavior calls into question whether citizens are even allowed to question the actions of the administration. Indeed, in the more liberal media circles, such doubting would be hooted down with cries labeling you as racist or rednecked or simply stupid. This is the type of treatment that groups such as Tea Partyers, Sarah Palin Supporters and others have recieved regularly. The fact that a wealthy background supporter funds groups organized to disrupt, brings into question the propriety of having such a person regularly giving input to national issue."
Richard West at America's News Online:
"The left main-stream media has done everything in its power to discredit and turn the Sarah Palin machine upside down to no avail. It seems as though Palin loves to make them squirm and grind their teeth as she continues to roll along like a slow moving freight train."

  1. Josh, thanks for the quote. The more we can remind people of what it was like when Reagan was president, the more we can paint an uplifting picture of what it will be like to have Palin as president.
