Quote of the Day (July 22, 2010)

*
Frank Ross at The DC:
One of the nastiest episodes in American journalism occurred in the immediate aftermath of John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate during the 2008 election. It was a potential game-changer and, for a moment, it rocked the leftist media back on its heels. Who can ever forget Andrea Mitchell’s gaping-fish-out-of-water reaction to Palin’s electrifying acceptance speech? For one brief, horrible moment, the Marxist Media saw its dream of a People’s Republic dying, shot through the heart by the moose-hunting mom from Nowhere, Alaska. Soon enough, though, the counter-attack began… almost as if it was co-ordinated. And you know what? It was!

  1. Mr. Painter,
Frank Ross' comment is provoking. I just read "Spoken from the Heart," by Laura Bush. In her book, she speaks of the last few months of the final presidential term under George Bush. She mentions in her book the criticisms her husband received from Barak Obama and Nancy Pelosi which were negative and personal. They responded to them with kindness, courtesy and hospitality inviting them to dinners at the White House and, were polite toward them during the transition of power to the President-elect.
Republican hopefuls, Senator McCain and Sarah Palin also received personal lashing and insults from Barak Obama and Nancy Pelosi media during the election. Now it seems the tides have turned on the Obama and Pelosi regime. What goes around comes around. Now that Barak Obama is the President, he cowers because he is the acting leader of The United States and, he is responsible. Doesn't feel so good to be criticized huh?
Barbara Boxer is getting ready to media slam Carly Fiorina here in California. These mass media slams on the Internet, newspapers, television, sway mass populations of voters. They are negative, powerful, and intend to destroy credibility of candidates all for the sake of socialistic power and personal gain. Voters are ignorantly voting for a candidate based on tainted media presentations of them. Intelligent voters know what is going on and, I hope they show up at the polls next election and vote out the nastiness.
George and Laura Bush were great! Laura's book just reinforced my observation of their great leadership. If you haven't read her book, run out and buy a copy. I bought mine on sale at Barnes and Noble booksellers in Glendale, CA. I am working on finding a book plate for an autograph!
