New Bear in the Woods: The People for Palin

The announcement that LOTUS (Laptop of the United States) was going dormant left us with mixed feelings. The community of pro-Palin bloggers is poorer when it loses a website, especially one that made us smile, chuckle and sometimes laugh right out loud, which is the effect LOTUS has on its readers. But in this case, there's a silver lining. We may have lost the blog, but not the blogger. LOTUS' creative creator, Whitney Pitcher, continues writing, only now in a somewhat less satirical voice and from a platform which will afford her a much wider audience. Whitney has joined the staff at Conservatives for Palin, and our congratulations go out to both her and to C4P on the transition.

And there's more good news. Right on the heels of the announcement that LOTUS was folding its screen came word that there's a new bear in our neck of the World Wide Web Woods that is the Palinosphere. The People for Palin launched this week. Our congratulations to Missy Stewart on a well-designed site which holds a lot of promise. Welcome to the community of Grizzly Bear Bloggers!
