Is 'How low can the left go?' a rhetorical question?

*
From Bluegrass Pundit:
How low will the left go in order to insult Sarah Palin? There doesn't seem to be any limit. Lefties at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences have nominated the "Family Guy" song mocking Sarah Palin's down's syndrome child for an Emmy.

    In a nutshell? YES!

  2. The insanity has gone beyond the point of being merely "disturbed". To my mind, Palin is a bellwether--she ~is~ a contemporary version of the "sword of contradiction" that shall pierce souls, "that the thoughts of many hearts shall be laid bare" (Luke 2:35, if anyone is interested).

I don't know how much more shock I can feel at the complete loss of leftist "brain matter" when it comes to their treatment of this American leader. Please--even if you don't agree with her politics, or if her personality bothers you, the stunning level of pointless hatred for her is not only appalling, it's perverted!

I believe that Sarah (having come into the spotlight) represents the last bastion of "normal" functional American humanity, and that this very normality--this sturdy decency--underscores the fact that so many millions in this illiterate, texting nation have become empty, evil, DEAD shells-of-humanity. And the new "Walking Dead" come from every quadrant: rich; poor; educated; ignorant; hip; reclusive; beautiful; ugly; conservative;liberal ... you name it.

I am a bit embarrassed comparing half of America to a bunch of hissing zombies, but look at how everyone has willingly fallen down the rabbit-hole ... millions of adults with no common sense or reason, young adults completely lost and out of control, like rabid dogs.

Sarah, up in Alaska, along with many Alaskans, avoided this character-draining cultural virus, and now the good woman is in the middle of a war, of sorts. The scary fact is that those who hate her ~cannot~ be taught. We cannot argue with people who are senseless.

Whatever she does, POTUS-wise, this nation will pay for the way it has treated Palin, because those who have vilified her without reason are vilifying a portrait of decency itself. Even Sarah Palin will tell us that spitting upon decency is much bigger than spitting on Sarah Palin.

I love her and champion her forever, but if she wants to seek the White House, she needs to balance the ongoing cheerleader act with some Margaret Thatcher-like authority on policy. She needs to start being authoritatively serious and then mix that with her usual chirpy schtick. Reagan had his optimism, but he also knew when to frown and throw-down.

I believe that Sarah is very very much uncertain about her 2012 plans ... and I don't blame her. We need her, but we need her to stop giving the same general "grinning" speech, at this point. It is a world-changing decision on her shoulders, and I don't think she has made that decision, yet. I respect her ultimate decision because she is one of our most valuable American resources, truly.

I also don't believe that differences of opinion concering Sarah (at least among those who love & support her) should be ridiculed. Then we would be just like the nutzoid leftists.
